| Distinguished - BHPian | re: Team BHP USA meets in Detroit Thanks to Vibin who knew the detour due to the closed route took us through some bylanes of Amerika  through the University of Michigan- Dearborn and to a beautiful large home with a huge driveway and suddenly got out.I was like wondering why did we stop here. Then he rushed out and said this is " The Henry Ford" home where he lived for most part of his life. We quickly snapped off a couple of pictures with us and cars in the frame and before the security lady could holler us out we ran for our lives  .Except the Ford Explorer, all of us spent time over lunch at the popular ford-themed restaurant in Dearborn (Which anyways is half owned by FORD). After a spending sometime outside admiring the Model T's and A's we were ushered to our table (30 minutes wait time at any given point of time- They run as busy as that) where we enjoyed some Ford Garage stamped burgers with onion rings served on a unique device (Check the picture and take a guess what it is!). Also the restaurant has a few Model T's hanging from the ceilings and their bathroom as simply unique (not to mention the main door of their restaurant). Overall, a nice ambiance especially for auto lovers and kind of apt for this lunch meet. Fantastic meet guys- Till we meet next time !!! | re: Team BHP USA meets in Detroit Can we plan a overnight trip during winter with families? Once we have the numbers, we can identify a resort mid way with equal driving distances. Suggestions welcome It's a long time I have been part of Teambhp meets. |
