If it is shingara (ok singara, but still...) then it has to be jilipi.

Stop by and enjoy the Singara alongwith the misti's!! It is very tasty
Kochujor is famous for its Singara and Jilebi.

Abhi
Thats a good idea @akroy and we can even go to Tarapith which I think will be on the way...

I have been there in February 2007 and the road was excellent. I am not aware if it has deteriorated after that.
I just had a chat with one of the not so frequent tbhpians and he told me that it is not a very good idea to go to Messanjore and come back on the same day. It will be strenuous for those not accustomed to driving 600 Kms in a day. So we have to think about Messanjore trip since there is no point in going somewhere if all of us do not enjoy..

@ Zappo - Kolkata gang is lazy as usual - they (including me re baba) always take time to decide and hence more number of posts (oops! there goes my second smiley) - i am so lazy that i havent yet found time to show off (uhm! naaaah!) my new (well - used) car to the group (only shuvd & shuvc have seen her).

i am not sure about spending the nite at Massanjore but i would love to stay at Shankarpur / Mandarmuni.

But i will go wherever you guys decide. but seriously guys! please come up with a proper plan.

who all are really interested for the drive?

PS: even if i am driving the R'S' - i will not be able to keep up with most of guys.

I am very much interested for the drive particularly because I had not taken BlackPearl there last time and I would love to test the new tires there. Frankly speaking I am not to keen on going to Shankarpur as I have lost count of how many times I have been there and I know the road like the back of my hand. But then I would join you guys wherever you decide to go...

on the way to digha there were quite a few reliance pumps. (but i also read somewhere that reliance pumps were closing down).

Guys lets decide on the venue. no point driving like 300 km's with nothing to do once we reach there. I mean, if it was the winters, we could have roamed around or maro'd adda but its bloody hot to do that at this time of the year. Shankarpur etc, we can at least take a dip in the sea. (I hope im not the only one thinking on those lines)
