Does Yelagiri suck big time or is it the ****-*** ? A tbhp meet is at a particular location because of the convenience of a majority of bhpians. The place is of no significance.

The last time this yelagiri drive was planned, it was a whopping success with such a large numbers of participants coming from Bangalore and a few from Chennai.

This is a second attempt at the same venue for a team-bhp meet. The meet should be the motivating factor and not the location or the food or the beer!

Well Pavam, there are many places one has never heard of. Does it mean that we should never have a meet in such places?

I have also never heard about Yalagiri, but I do know about a beautiful scenic place known as Yelagiri which is on top of a hill : and which is as good a place for a TeamBHP meet as any other (NICE road included) .

the drive up the hills alone would be worth your trip.

Am not too sure about my plans yet.

Having just been there I can tell you that Yellagiri is excellent for a drive, you can reach your max speeds on the Bangalore - Chennai highway.

After you cross Krishnagiri town, you need to take a deviation to the right to reach Yellagiri.

Yellagiri is something close to nandi hills but much bigger, once you climb the 14 odd hairpin bends you reach the top of the monuntain. There are several resorts and restaurants on the top. Yellagiri is 160 kms from Bangalore.

The weather however is pretty hot, you will need ac running throughout the trip.

I have been to Yelagiri in 1998.. The trek and the view from the top were really good. Nice picturesque 'valley' as well.

Its a tiny hill station with a small treck and waterfall and all. Drive will be more worth than the destination itself.

Havent confirmed yet BUT if things goes smooth on office front am in.
