I was there in Cbe, at the CCD Race course too, to meet a friend of mine. This place has always been special, for its balance of nature, greenery, fitness freaks and automotive enthusiasts !

I would be at Chennai this weekend. Have fun and please to post pictures from this meet ! Good initiative

I second you on the CCD thing. Nice place to chill out. Wish they would expand the interior seating area, that place can hardly take 10 people.

But then,you better turn up for our scheduled drive & meet this weekend Mr. :P

Lemme do a short Intro myself. My name is Dr. Sujai Nikhil, I'm almost done with my DM cardiology in Pondicherry. I'm a resident of Pollachi and would be back in Pollachi by sept 2nd week onwards. Right now, in exam mode in pondi. Want to be an active member of our Kovai Tbhp group and got in touch with our dear bhpian graaja after reading thru the ooty meet which happened recently.

So, till August, if any of our dear bhpians should visit pondi, pls pm me, and I'll be of any help whatsoever. After sept, do expect me to be a regular on our turf. Till then, keep them throttles revving and them faces smiling.

I know this is totally off the topic but do we know if Yamaha and Honda sell their bigger bikes via authorized dealers in coimbatore? TNT, KTM, Kawasaki are all here with their niche showrooms with good(?) service backup... But I was wondering about the other players in the room. Any ideas? Also, any good bike mechanics outside who have worked on superbikes in the past?

Yeah!! Yamaha once sold an R1 to a very close friend of mine!!! And also remember seeing a Hayabusa in a Suzuki showroom off Metupalayam road!!!

And yes, there are quite a few very good superbike mechanics out there in Coimbatore who know their job pretty well!!

That's good news, so they do have a SBK division seperately? Which showroom / location? Can you ask your friend about the after sales service? Is he a bhpian too? If so, I can PM him directly.

My friend took delivery from CAG Yamaha, Sathy Road (Near GP signal). Hi is not a tbhp-ian. The A$$ is not that great so he took to a FNG for his regular maintenance.

I don't have the contact numbers of any of the mechanics. Will update when I get their numbers.

Please do, I would like to know my options for maintaining an SBK. background is that I'm planning to get an Mid weight naked street Sports in near future(within a year at the max), am looking at the options and doing some groundwork. Kawasaki and Benelli have their own A$$ and it would be a breeze; no problems with the regular services and other general elbow grease work. But I'm interested in Triumph and other brands also who do not have a presence in coimbatore, hence the groundwork.

AFAIK my friends owning Ducati Multistradas and Triumph Bonnies and Street triples have an option to either take their steeds to the nearest showroom, say Kochi or B'lore or to have the technicians come down to CBE and carry out the periodic maintenance or any other repairs either at their doorstep or at the Jaguar-Land Rover showroom A$$ situated in L&T bypass.

For other small works they have their own FNGs' whose number will be updated asap in the T-BHP Directory!!!

I have not got a chance to meet other T-BHPians. Expecting in the near future!!!
