I cannot seem to think of any place that offers food and beverages at a fixed price menu. Anyone been to the great kebab factory ?
Barbecue nation is also a good option but might be too crowded(noisy). They offer 1 beverage free with the buffet AFAIK. Costs about 450-500

Anyone been to mantra recently ?

BN is a big no-no. It is terribly crowded and too small for a bunch of hooligans.

I still think Fortune Katriya is the best option as its large, very spacious, decent food and an offer that can always be tweaked with a phone call

Also, we can think of Amrutha Castle, used to go there very often but the food in those times was nothing to write home about.

There is another joint which comes to my mind which seems desperate for business. It's on the lane going up towards Taj Krishna and Taj Deccan, while coming from Khairtabad, you take left and it falls on your left hand side. Forgot the name of the place though i cross it each day. But, parking would be messy as its bang on that crowded road.

That's Hotel NKM Grand, if I am not mistaken. But that is a bit cramped---at least what I saw.

Fortune Katriya is having some kinda offer till the IPL matches last--around 500 for the male, and 300 for the female companion. Only hassle is half the guys would need to dress up like women!

@VNABHI if the katriaya offer has something to do with IPL, they will kick us out by 1130 :(

If i may suggest we stick to Fortune Katriya , the food is palatable , the mocktails are well made and we T-bhp'ians fit in very well .

I'm sure Avi is breaking his head over the Venue discussions, lol.

......
+1 to the above.

Fortune Katriya is fine. I was thinking about the 'other' Katriya - Royale or Grande or something in Greenlands. Incidentally the Katriya is no longer a 'Fortune' hotel, ITC having tied up with Manohar now.

Cheers,

Arun, you know i love discussing about food. The more the options, the better the discussion. Unfortunately, we seemed to have decided on the venue too early...Sob Sob !!!

Dont worry that will be taken care of. Sadly, you will have only the wandering nomad and a guy with too many cars as company there
