Hey way to go ladies . BOW great initiative taken and hope we do have more women meets as well. It would be a great way for the women (Mrs, GF's) also to interact with each other. Would love to attend but as the rules state my lady is not with me at the moment so would be skipping the event. Hope you'll have fun and please do atleast let sam in so that there would be a great report. Have a blast.

Ladies, Great initiative!

Looking at the interest raised by this thread. >
Looks like you would have to follow Samurai's suggestion on finalizing the location+time offline on PM. Else you will see quite a few M-Team-Bhpians, who happen to be there.

I think we should have one of the ladies themselves do the report. Why a thorn in the middle. No offense Sam

Sam can write on his other experiences. Looks like he has quite a few to explain... like the one below

No wonder he was eve-teased. Did he tell you that on that particular night in the outskirts of Delhi, he was whistled at by a 55+ yrs old guy on a sccooter who took two rounds around him to determine his gender. Once he ascertained the real fact, he just scooted away...
Sam please explain in detail.

Lolz I wonder if that night it was merely to ascertain his gender. And he was not eve teased in the strictest sense. Maybe that gent did make 2 rounds to save him from nightmares thinking what if....

Postponed to 14th June 2009

The Women meet has been postponed to June 14th, 2009 due to unavoidablw circumstances and with the permission from all the attendees.

Latest count is around 5 of us.

We do intend to make this meet a success.

We could decide any venue at Bandra.

We could decide from one of these places suggested by Gogiji.

Olive

Shatranj Napolie

Out of the Blue

Global fusion

Barbeque Nation

China Gate.

So please give in your suggestions.

I have no idea what cuisines these places serve but I guess Olive is good for Italian food and the likes. Barbecue Nation as the name suggest, Barbecues. I leave it to the discretion of other women to choose on my behalf.
I love food so anything goes.

If there is a variety of cuisine you are looking for then you should probably head out to the sunday brunch(buffet) at the Lands End in bandra. The menu(starters, maincourse, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks) is huge that hails from various cuisines in each course and fairly priced with the ambience just doing justice to a laid back sunday afternoon for a hearty lunch and chat.
Time:12.30 to 3:30
Was priced at approx 750 bucks(no alcoholic drinks included) the last time i went there but you can always call and find out.
The perk is the valet parking in the usually crowded bandra on a sunday afternoon.
Just my 2 cents; have fun.

My preferences are (in no particular order): Out of the Blue, BBQ Nation or China Gate. I hear Global Fusion is good too, but the range is limited/ not good for vegetarians like me. I believe Olive has some over-priced brunch/lunch buffet on Sundays.

@Ali G- The Taj Land's End brunch buffet on Sundays is at least Rs 1200 per head (non-alc). I had gone in February, so this is the correct price. Also they were not letting us take the car inside that day because of some business event happening there. I fibbed my way inside and got the valet to park my car. But others who joined me had to find parking on the road. So I would like to rule out Land's End.

Any other suggestions?

Ok people, I am a student here. So Rs 1200/- for lunch doesn't sound much like a lot of fun! I will probably have to go without pocket money for the entire month. Haha.
If my plea for a reasonably priced lunch is considered I'd be real glad.

Hmmm... just saw the thread.
Ladies, Sunday brunch is best enjoyed at Indigo or Indigo Deli. I suggest you girls go there. Enjoy and have a great time!
