Dodo Juice India launch

I finally managed to grab 3 products from Dodo Juice that I wanted to try for a while but kept leaving them out of my import orders. Now that they are officially here in India, I didn't waste any time. Got their rinse less wash (Low on Eau), Basics of Bling QD and the Green Fin Cut Heavy polishing pad for the Rotary.

Goo gone should be able to remove it in a jiffy!

I have once removed gum from the windscreen using baby wipes. It was very effective. However, the detailing gurus can probably tell you if it's harmful to the paint.

How is this product? Whats the difference between this and the Red Mist Tropical detailer spray? I have read rave reviews about Red Mist in various detailing forums like AutoGeek, DetalingWorld, etc.

Basics of Bling cleans and adds shine but does not protect. It is water based and comparatively cheap.

Red Mist (inc Tropical) adds shine and protection but does not clean (apart from maybe light grease like fingerprints). It gives approx 4 weeks of protection to paint. It is solvent based and comparatively expensive and should not go over fresh wax due to potential solvent interference issues.

For topping up wax layers in beading/protection terms - use Red Mist after washing/drying the car, if the wax has started to fail.

For general cleaning/shining/bug removing/tar spot removing duties after a wash, use BB Detailing Spray. This product will not top up wax protection, so you need a good underlying level of protection or you could add Red Mist or even a paste wax on top.

I am a newbie to detailing and have been greatly motivated by this thread to try my hand at the same. So the things I have in my detailing armamentarium are
1. Gyeon Q2M bathe+
2. Blackfire wet diamond finish paint protectant
3. Optimum opti-bond tire gel

I dust my car after every drive with a Kent microfibre glove. Then put the car cover immediately. On weekends I clean the car with q2M bathe +. It's a shampoo with a wax. Following this I applied blackfire wet diamond manually by hand using a foam applicator and buffing off after 15 min with a microfibre cloth. I have applied this only once since they say it usually lasts for 4 months. My car is. Honda city idtec carnelian red shade. Is there any other step I should include in this routine or try a wax before applying blackfire etc. I am open to all suggestions.

Buy some Zorrik88. Spray liberally. Place some tissues on top of that. Soak the tissue as well. Keep it on for 60-120 seconds and wipe the tiisues off. They will take the gum away with them. Repeat for stubborn gum.
Zorrik88 is paint safe. Available at most hardware stores.

Our 7 year old Santro has been detailed for the very first time. Products and steps below:

1. Washing - Armor all wash and wax shampoo, Sonus APC
2. Decontamination- Carpro Iron x
3. Claying- Elastrofoam
4. Compounding- S17 and spider sandwich pad
5. Polishing- Carpro Reflect, Scholls Neo
6. Last Step Product- W6 crystal wax.
7. Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer, Meguiar Natural Shine Protectant

It wasn\'t a 100% correction as few swirls were deep into the clear coat and needed wet sanding. Results below:

Hi Friends,

I was finally able to lay my hands on Autoglym Super resin Polish yesterday. Looking forward to pampering 8 month old "Carlos" this weekend as this would be my first polishing attempt. Still not sure what to use as LSP to keep that shine intact and provide some protection, as I was using Collinite 845 till now which worked well with no polishing and compounding prior to it. I have been advised against it after using SRP, what are my options?

I have purchased the Pidilite Motomax 2K rubbing compound.

Wanted to check if I could use this to effectively mask small scratches and door marks caused on the car sides(especially in cases when the neighboring car door rubs against your car and causes light scratches that do not go deep in the paint)?

I don't see any issues with using Collinite on top of SRP. What are your concerns?
