My Alto & Honda City takes 42B20L battery but my battery dealer is insisting that both of these batteries are same & 40B20L can be used instead of 42B20L in these cars.
I was told by my trusted battery shop that the first two digits in Amaron denote cranking power 'category' of the battery. It is not the exact cranking power but a sort of battery ranking mechanism. So, 42B20L will be relatively more powerful than 40B20L. For Amaron Pro models, this figure will be around '50' for 35 Ah batteries.

Re: Which is the Best Car Battery Brand?

Is Amaron Pro 50B20L in production?

I need one for the WagonR 2013 Cng and the most recent mfg date I have found locally is from May 2023

They seem to have replaced it with Amaron Flow 40B20L in the recommendation list for Jazz
