Why change Flywheel for cluth Overhaul? not needed imo the flywheel should be expensive part in a skoda shd be in range of 15-30K (company price but not sure) cant say about cluth components.

Flywheel is usually resurfaced just like brake disks. Replace only if severely gouged by overly worn clutch. Should be about 25K.

How many kms on the car ECM?

Skoda replaces the whole clutch including the pressure plate and clutch plate as a set, costing around 18-19k excluding labour. Dunno about flywheel n the rest. But don't expect anything short of 30k for the stuff u mentiond there..

hehe. a frnd ( and a tbhpian, ehem..) sold of his Skoda due to teh same reason. Lovely bills. 4 months , 50k.

A car of good quality, build etc and $$$ should last more. I really donno why people go wow at Skoda when you have bills like this.

I think its all about a proper maintenance schedule, like for example so far the only expenses ive had on my 1.9TDi is regular oil and filter change at every 5000kms and two sets of brake pads. One broken corner light. The timing belt is now due to be changed have reached 55,000 kms. I can feel the clutch fading away now, i think it would last me another 10-20k kms then i have this huge expense coming up, but i wont need a flywheel so it wouldnt be that expensive. Oh and yes, i do not pay any labor because i dont send the car to the dealer so cant say much about it hehe.

So i guess it depends more upon the way you keep the car rather, until and unless youve got a lemon!
