Re: Injector Cleaning in my Swift

I would say use a good diesel additive. i am very happy with adon d diesel additive and have been using it for last year or so in my sx4 ddis. I have seen remarkable improvement.Previously i used system d, but comparatively i prefer adon d.
If you can get improvement using a good diesel additive i would go that route rather then having the injectors pulled out.
Use the additive for a couple of tanks and see the difference. In-case you still feel then you can have the injectors pulled out and worked upon.

Re: Injector Cleaning in my Swift

I am thinking of using liqui moly diesel purge in Ciaz clocked 45K kms - doubt is on how to use it ?

Have seen various videos where in people use the can in one tankful of diesel, another where he used half in tankful, and yet another video where he used Fuel Pump for using this/

What is the correct way? I was initially planning to dump this 500ml bottle in full tank - would this work ?

PS - Reason for using this is purely preventive, and probably to reduce clatter and engine noise.

Ideally you should use it with the fuel pump way. But since it not a serious DIY, what i do is, i will pour the additive when the tank is 20% full and then go for a 10 km drive. This way the additive will not get that diluted and would give some results.

Which product would you recommend for a petrol Hyundai elantra 2005 that has driven 82000kms. I have used liquimoly at 72000kms, looking for a different brand/ product.

Thanks
