Guys need help here please.
My deffoger switch is getting illuminated but the OVRM adjusting switch and the driver side power window switches are not getting illuminated when switching on the headlights.
Are both the OVRM adjusting switch and the driver side power windows supposed to be illuminated or mine are perfectly fine?

Only the defogger switch has an amber light which lights up when pressed. The others do not have any illumination.

Thanks for your reply. The amber light does glow when the defogger is switched on.
So my car has its lights running normally only, the OVRM adjuster and power window switches are not supposed to be illuminated when the headlights are switched on.
Guys, where can i get my engine compression test and tuning check done in Mumbai??
I believe you need a special machine for it? Does anyone specialise in tuning OHC's here in mumbai??
Sorry to bump this again.. but I got the IAC serviced and the problem suddenly has escalated.. the rpm now is unstable and keeps fluctuating!
I was recommended to get the car checked using the OBD scan. But i don't have a scanner nor know of anyone here who does diagnostics for the OHC.
Any of the mumbai guys can help out?? I'm afraid if the last resort means i take it to Arya Honda... they're gonna rip me off
What do you want to know using ODB scan? Is your CEL is ON? Or you just want to know the operating parameters?
OHC does have a port for ODB but needs an adapter. There is a guy in the opposite lane to Prakash Motors (Santacruz) who specializes in ODB scanning/ODO repair, etc. He shall charge you around 500 bucks and tell you what you want to know. Contact# RK - 26602380 - 9892618798.
If your CEL is ON, following may help too:

Thanks for the info Sumeet. The CEL is not on, but my mechanic said the best way to figure out the idling adjustment & simultaneously rule out any sensor issue was to use the OBD scan.
I will try to visit him on Sunday.

When i had got my Vtec in 2010, it used die down and as an interim solution i had to keep the idle a bit higher. It used to suffer from erratic idling, suddenly going up and down which used to result in heavy jerking behaviour. Got the car serviced, which included throttle body cleaning, air filter etc. Dont remember if injectors were cleaned but that solved it all.
I had got the car serviced from a known guy at andheri east.
Did you adjust the idle screw yourself manually?? My injectors were cleaned in October as was the TB. This problem is completely new. Although my mechanic did try to adjust the idle.. This problem remains. The IAC was checked too
I also have this RPM fluctuation issue but very minor rpm flickers within +- 50 range. So my mechanic suggested not to change the IACV valve (also known as rpm actuator) right now, if the problem escalates then we can go for it. Low RPM jerks might be related to the same, although many old honda city owners have this jerk problems.

No i went to the Mech to get the idle set at a higher RPM at the very beginning. This was before the servicing.

Pre 2002 Vtecs do have the 'jerking at low speed' issue. Its related to some issue in the older version of the ECU. i have noticed it only below 1.5k RPMs, above that its all good as normal.
As luck would have it, my mechanic decided to try one last look into the TB and the system before taking it to get the OBD scan done & he found one of the pipes cracked slightly resulting in air leaking ( I don't know what exactly he was referring to but all I could understand was this).
Once he got it fixed the rpm behaviour was no longer erratic & he could adjust the idle much better. It's almost back to behaving as before except I still feel it needs a but more fine tuning on the idling behaviour.. The rpm takes a tad longer than originally to drop on gear shifting or when shifting from higher gears into neutral ( or it could just be me nitpicking)
Can anyone explain what exactly happened & how he fixed it?
Guys, last week suddenly the AC stopped giving out air in the 1st and 2nd modes, the 3rd and 4th is working perfectly fine.
What could be the problem and aprox damages to the pocket?

If the 3rd and 4th speed modes are working fine then it might just be a case of the blower switch gone kaput! If the AC itself is not working, then its a big headache. :)
