I dropped off our Santro at Kun Hyundai , on Anna Salai in Chennai at 930am for the free service and got a call at 230pm to pick up the car. They told me they had topped up the engine oil. The car was cleaned thoroughly and looked nice. Drives a little better after the service!.I was satisfied with the experience. I wish Hyundai would hold free service camps in huge grounds like Maruti does here in Chennai, and save us the extra trip to pick up the car. Maruti also offers test drives and other attractions while waiting for one's car to be checked and cleaned at it's service camps here and Hyundai could do the same.

I went to Advaith to get my Getz CRDi's bumper guard tightened, as it had come loose. The receptionist told me that since it was a Saturday, the number of cars were many and I could get a free checkup on Sunday. Till then I had no clue about this free thingy.
Anyways, they did a good job the next day and my car was as good as new. Also got a 10% discount on the Cobra Remote locking system.

Do they even do anything during these free checkups apart from wash the car and give it back? The paid service at DSC Chennai is bad enough as it is! Wonder how much more worse it will be when its free!!

As mentioned in by me previously, the guys do a pretty good job of at least washing the car well
But to be fair to Hyundai, the last time I went, they did a pretty good job of checking the car and delivering it on time.

Any GM car owners [Bangy] attending the free service camp on this saturday?

Guys,
Anyone planning to attend the free service camp organized by GM at St.John school, MG Road on this sat & sun?

I am thinking of visiting on Saturday morning. If anyone plans please let me know we will have a small meet there

Except for Deepak, Rudra & Hari, I have not met any other GM car owners. Guess its a nice chance to meet up.

Strange isn't it that the 4 GM owners you mention all have different models?

Someone from GM called me yesterday informing about this camp. There is a free water wash + checkup, spare-parts at discount rates, and test drive of new models(?) offered.

Above all, there is free snacks, coffee, tea, and cool drinks etc.

Sad to say that I will miss all this as I have something else scheduled this weekend
