Oh man its such a tease to have some more vroom - I can't resist, but today all day I have been a good boy and not driven on high revs (well almost all day )

I think the sound is a tad loud cos of my old muffler and so I am going to get it replaced with a different end can - i was told by shabbir a regular end pipe can be put, but I am not sure if a regular ms pipe at end is good news (rust!!). Will check for some ss not so loud options with him on monday and will try and get some pics soon

The SS looks nice and is more bass, than tinny sound.

yeah the problem is my existing ss muffler (paid 4.5k for it to shabbir 2 yrs back) has too huge a mouth and that emnates a really loud sound despite the in between sound reduction box fitted

thanks for all the "congrats" guys
i tried to click pics now as I had missed the install, but it seems in a santro the headers are covered with a metal plate and hence can't see a thing in the pic posted on K&N CAI thread http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...tml#post939873
Only when we meet in person on some tbhp drive, i can show it to you'll - its a 4-2-1 and sounds loud but crisp/sharp

@jassi

Thank you, well he is very busy these days he told me that he makes 3 to 4 headers a day, he had a baleno where in was getting fitted with a turbo charger and a header. He has 18 years of experience with this stuff..

I got my FFE (with headers) done by Viper about a month ago. The first time around it was a little too loud so I went back after a week and they fitted an expansion chamber between the headers and the straight-through muffler. Now the sound is just right.

There is a perceptible difference in low end torque, and the car is now capable of lower speeds in each gear (without jerking and begging for a downshift). At mid to high revs the difference is less obvious but the sound is glorious. Paid 10K (for a Swift).

I'm waiting to get some niggling problems sorted (new body-kit needs to have fogs re-installed and a better mesh grille), and then I'll probably get a conical filter.

I was curious if anybody has run dyno tests to see what sort of difference stage-1 mods make to a small engined (1.0L to 1.6L) car.

I paid 12k for a full FFE in (retained my own APC FF muffler).

Cost - 12k without end can.
