Bought 4x2x1 custom made FFE from Viper. for my Getz. . Headers to end can. paid around 8.5k 0r 9.0 K dont remember now. Found the FFE was too loud with a constatnt drone inside the car , so changed the end can with remus bolt on , costed me 15.0k. Now car sounds much better , with no compromise on the low end torque.

Have you retained the center muffler ? If not, the car WILL be loud.

A little OT: I have an FFE with the mid muffler, yet, the car is very LOUD. This has really started getting to me.

Is there a workaround to this issue?

Have got the tail muffler from Electra, but this is turning out to be a pain in long drives due to the extra noise. City drives is absolutely enjoyable, any workarounds? I cannot afford for Amps and Subs, though a HU is due for replacement

You need to modify / replace your muffler. Go back to the shop you installed it from, they'll do the needful. Simple job.

Is it only the noise or the resonance that is a problem?

Depends on how the muffler was fabricated. Did you ask for a loud sound ? If not, as suggested by GTO, go back to the installer & get it modified.

Get the muffler changed from electra. But you need to be very clear about what you want, you cannot have the best of both worlds since you say you enjoy the city drives.

Extra sound that gets into the cabin, which is a pain for continious long hours (say 3-4 hrs).

If your FFE is loud (Which yours is), on a highway, cruising at 100 + kmph, there will be a drone inside the cabin.

I did not get the end can fabricated from the installer, but I have an APC universal muffler with a 4" tip diameter.

How Much did you pay for your Headers & FFE & which car ?-apc.jpg

What can I do in this case?
