Lets put it close to 34 rs/ltr.i dont find it a good option at all.I would prefer the car to run on petrol or diesel rather than on lpg,Diesel is almost the same price as of lpg now.It used to be near 25 rs mark about a year ago.Alarming increase in the prices and no one is bothered to put up a note regarding this issue at all.

Well what else do you expect? Crude is now 100$ + for a barrell! Diesel price is artificially kept low thru subsidies.
What do you expect people to do, when you say "no one is bothered to put up a note regarding this issue at all"
Whom do you expect to step in, and for what reasons and what exactly should they achieve?

It should have reduced by now. I think its taking more time as compared to previous years. The winter is rather long this time and LPG is used to heat.

It dropped to like 7 degrees centigrade at San Antonio yesterday which is usually a warm place.

ajo saar,I highly doubt the current LPG rate is about the temperature.
Im sure its not gonna come down to even 30 bucks per litre.
It is the death of AutoLPG indeed! :(

Yes, but for the subsidies, diesel would be knocking the doors of Rs. 50/- or more per litre.

In the United Kingdom, diesel is costlier than petrol . Apparently, the govt was not making money from diesel sales (diesel cars returning better miles to the gallon than their petrol siblings) and hence upped the prices above the petrol prices.

It could well happen in India over a period of time. Though, this is just a wild guess. I am not knowledgeable about how the Govt. manages to subsidize diesel by a significant margin.

It does; It reallly does.but the rise in crude prices is so much that it offsets the fall in the demand,But given the current conditions, i doubt whether it will ever come down to 30 bucks per litre any time soon, not unless there is a global price correction for petroleum.

Well it doesnt. The oil companies make losses by selling products at lesser than cost price, govt: earns by heavily taxing the same products, and finally they give them oil-bonds supposed to save them from red figures in their balance sheet. One fine day this stupid scheme is going to backfire. The oil companies will never be able to liquefy this funds, which will stall their all projects and so on.

CNG Came down to Rs 18.90 @ Kg with effect from 4 March 2008, since the union budget allowed for concessions on natural gas.

Running cost now comes to 0.97 Paisa per Km and Rs 1 per Km on AC.

LPG prices seems to be increasing at an alarming rate. The main reason IMO is because of the increase in demand and the cross subsidy the domestic LPG is getting is being financed out of the profits made from higher price of LPG for cars/autos. In future my suggestion is to go for Diesel or CNG cars. Diesel would be (Was always) my first choice.

Those in the AutoLPG business are in ruins. If the LPGA can't solve the pricing issue, then I think its about time CNG be made available nationwide.
