DIN55 is the best bet. Manual suggest DIN50

Re: Palio Battery options DIN50/DIN55 and manufacturers

Praful Bhaina, just call up a dealer and ask them if they have a DIN55/50 equivalent and ask for a quote and exchange rate for the old battery.

Don't overdo the "dhakka start" - take care of the catcon - IIRC it costs around 15k for the palio

Re: Palio Battery options DIN50/DIN55 and manufacturers

Ok, got a quote and some news.

Manufacturer reccomends DIN50, Amaron recommends DIN45!

Quotes I got :-

DIN55 - 6.6K
DIN45 - 5.75K

500 bux for the old battery and 100 bux for home delivery, the currenty battery is totally drained!

Amaron does not make a DIN50/55 which is why they recommend a DIN45. My dad got his car (a 1.6 Palio) fitted with a DIN55. Go in for the 50 if you are not keen on the 55.

Re: Palio Battery options DIN50/DIN55 and manufacturers

Got a quote of 5250 [Battery] - 500 [Old Batt] = 4750 from BASE Terminal batteries for DIN55. With free home delivery.

Now I intend on letting go of this car in 1-1.5 years time, should I opt for BASE instead as its cheaper?

Not push starting the car as current battery is completely dead. How are the reviews for BASE?

go for it - a new battery will last that long for sure, i mean 1-1.5 years.

My cousin installed the same battery for his swift diesel. No issues since 2 years

Ironically, since I posted yesterday about my cars battery (TATA GREEN), I am having some starting problems. Not sure if its battery related or something else
