Tried interchanging the bulbs without any help. The metal shield below low beam filament is fundamentally responsible for the cut-off \___ profile.
Fed up, I got Osram Rallye 90/100W bulbs for Rs. 430/- a pair. The last image is with the new bulbs and the cut-off on RHS is improved. I am also attaching a few images of Philips Rally bulb covers which I had ordered from Ebay. No alignment was done after Philips Xtreme Vision and with Osram bulbs the beam patter is near to Xtreme Vision.

I will continue to use Osram 90/100W as the performance is quite good, specially in high beam. But not happy as Philips Rally has the best intensity of light. If Osram does not do the task as expected, shall revert back to Philips X-treme vision 55/60. Osram bulb on LHS again needs focusing, but its manageable I think. Apparently, issue is not when driving in darkness with no vehicle coming from opposite direction when light is not sufficient.
Its when there is oncoming traffic where all lights fall short. And when the streetlights are inadequate or placed/working in random order, more illumination from headlights is missed.

Total Damage to pocket :
Philips Xtreme Vision 55/60W : Rs. 1600 ( IIRC )
Wiring for 90/100 bulbs : Rs. 1200
Philips Rally 90/100 bulbs : Rs. 555
Osram Rally 90/100 bulbs : Rs. 430
Total : Rs. 3785/-.

Still wondering what can be done.
With Osram Rally 90/100W bulbs.

Did you order the Philips bulbs from a seller named "Infinitysaless" and the Osram bulbs from "Autotrends.in"? I think your Philips bulbs may have the same problem as mine - not made in Germany, unless I missed something.

My Swift is having its own Horn issue. Its a worse than step-thru horn in the morning, barely works after sunrise and is OK in afternoon. Evening again it wont work and even an Activa's Horn is better.
Visited the service center yesterday, they did adjust some screw and was alright yesterday afternoon. But yesterday night, it was bad again.
Tried to check with the manual for Horn rating, but it was not present in the fuse section. I plan to upgrade it which will save me a few hours that would otherwise be wasted to convince service center for a warranty replacement.

Is anyone aware of Fuse Rating ? I can determine the wattage from that as its default 12V DC.

Yes, Made In India and "infinitysales". Learnt my lesson the hard way round.
Now I have reverted back to Philips Extreme Vision+ 55/60W bulbs.

My overall Swift ownership experience is not as good I expected it to be. First fog lamp, now horns. But this is good chance to upgrade horn. These are very minor, but irritating niggles.

Here is the picture if the BCM in my Swift where the Fuse rating is mentioned for the Horn. It is 15A.

Is it a good idea to get the car serviced every 5000 KMs or follow the manual for 10000 or annual ( whichever is earlier) ?

My car runs about 7000 KMs a year. I have completed 5K since last service. Was wondering should I get the servicing done right away or wait.

I just have a few issues with the car. They are:
1. The clutch seems to have become hard, but I don't think its completely failed as there is no loss of power. Can this be fixed or a complete replacement is required?
2. There is some sort of noise from the steering wheel. Maybe it needs greasing. Will get this checked.

FYI my car has done 25000 kms in about 3 and a half year, and it is a petrol.

I drove my neighbour's almost new Swift (one year old, 7,000 KM) and found that if I depressed the clutch fully it got stuck, i.e. remained fully depressed, even when I removed my foot from the clutch pedal. I had to put the car in neutral and kick the clutch pedal to make it come back to the normal (dis-engaged) position

The only way to drive the car was to press the clutch three-quarters for changing gears.

Is this a common problem for Swifts? Also, what is this due to? Is the clutch operated by a cable, which sticks due to lack of lubrication? What is the fix?

You can take the car to the nearest service center and check it. Since the car is under warranty period they will rectify it for free. This is not common among swift. There is an issue with synchronizer which will result in problems with gear shift. Please check below thread for more details.

Thanks A4anurag for the image. Could not revert back as was too busy with work. I did refer the manual and you are correct, it says 15A, but only for variants with Push Start. Nothing for the car with regular start. Note that the following images are from updated Swift manual after 2014. I will again be taking the car to service center tomorrow, if they replace horn then OK or will get new ones installed.

How much I have learmt about Maruti, they will NOT have two different manuals and BCM's for variants of the Swift.

The two images you have shared are different and you are confused. Reason:

1) First Image: Fuses located in the Engine Compartment
2) Second Image: Fuses located in below dashboard (above Accelerator pedal).

I have taken the 2014 Swift images from Maruti Suzuki website. The 2013 ones are images from my Car's manual.

In the second comparison picture that I have uploaded, check the one highlighted in Yellow Rectangle. that will solve your doubts.

PS: Maruti Suzuki is the segment leader in cost cutting and as much as possible in terms to save money so they will NOT have a separate manual for the lower variants and a different BCM unit. Same silly steering wheel is being used in all their cars. Same useless drivers door controls are being used since 2005. They will not differentiate between variants.

Planning to book Swift ZXI to my dad.

But, can I upgrade Swift ZXI with the 16" alloys of Ciaz? They look awesome.

The sales guy said, Swift cannot accommodate the 16" from Ciaz, is that true?

Zeroed in on Violet or Grey any other color options in which Swift would look stunning.

That's wrong! :)

Those gorgeous alloys fit the Swift really well. Just make sure to don't go overboard with the tyre spec. Check this out!
