Interesting, folks who write such a valuable information didn't realise that there is no ZX trim in Safari

The topic from IAB seems to be incorrect and not a reliable source. I will wait for some more reliable source to report instead and then believe. Hope to see better pricing and not something like the ARIA.

correction: Current model Lx is quoting at 8.3lakhs and it has always sold at a discount. current official discount is 60000 with further room based on negotiation with dealer. if you factor this, the Storme is quoting a 2.8 lakhs premium

of course this is based on the assumption that the above the quoted price of the Storme is correct and there are no discounts at that price

will wait for the official announcement but agree with all of you that if this is the pricing, Tata can kiss the Storme good bye

^^^ It is the BS3 versions, where the GX & VX trims have been continued, not in BS4 (as per Tata Safari website).

Got a call from the dealer in mumbai today stating booking are open for Safari Storme. He did not state the booking amount as I said I need to first check the vehicle before booking. Said will be available by Diwali. Not sure how much should I rely on the information that the dealer gave. (Dealer I think was Wasan Motors where I had inquired for Aria)

Wow that is great news. Do they have any idea about the price.

What document you get for booking amount paid?
Is there any cancellation charges if TATA disappoint with price quoted?

I will call out local dealer Tomorrow.

Thanks,
Vishal.

When i saw the storme couple of weeks back at the dealer he was accepting bookings for 50k with no idea of price or variants so am assuming this isn't an official tata booking but local dealer getting opportunistic!

Humm this is not good then. Don't know how long they will use our money, in this case they should accept 5K as token amount.

Even Renault Dealers where taking "unofficial Bookings" prior to the launch promising early delivery but since they had no idea on price etc, it was purely opportunistic speculation. You didn't get any formal booking number/priority etc.

Got some news snippets:
1. LX version will be available in ABS / Non ABS Option (LX / LXp)
2. VX version will be available in Fabric Seat / Leather Seat Option (VX / VXp)
3. Sardinia Red, Pearl White, Arctic White (LX) will feature as colours from existing safari line-up.
4. Pearl White will not be available in LX/LXp as is the norm with current safari too.
5. Astern Black replaces current Quartz Black.
6. Urban Bronze is the new highlight color and is expected to feature in company advertisements.
7. More colors could be announced at launch.
8. TML is keeping the pricing information very close to their heart and wish to only open the cards once the turbulence of 'mini-SUVs' is cooled down.
9. Launch as expected will happen in phased manner starting from North Region with Punjab, Haryana & NCR being focus markets.
10. Navratra will be launch time for most of other markets with deliveries around Diwali. It is highly unlikely that company will post a launch date in the 15 days of shraddh considered inauspicious by automobile trade. Incidentally, Sumo Grande was launched around this time few years ago and the fate of same is known to all.
11. TML is currently ramping up production of the vehicle and wish to be ready for initial customer demand of festive season.
12. Launch has been delayed primarily due to production line quality issues and same have been nearly cleared now (Hopefully!).

All above information is compiled through industry / non industry source and could be termed 'speculative'

Got similar feedback from VST Motors Mt Road today. The SE said 2 variants in LX. Cars have reached Chennai for Rto approval but will not be displayed till late October. He was talking of a November launch in Chennai. No concrete info on price but randomly indicated 11lakhs for base model. Highly doubt that but neither do I doubt Tata's ability to pull off such a stupid move as well !

Thanks for snippets akhilesh. Any info about the 4x4 variants? Will the new one have just 2 trim levels, Lx and Vx?

Today called 3 dealers from Pune, Pandit and Millenium mobility both confirms that they are not accepting any booking as they don't have confirmed date of launch as well as price for vehicle.

So I think let's wait and watch, why such panic
