The mats I got from the dealer also got torn on the driver's side. I was somehow thinking that it was only with me. Yeah, eventhough the mats look good, the quality is pretty bad. My dealer is Advaith on ORR, Bangalore.

Very True! After a lot of negotiations, the only freebies I was offered with my i20 Crdi was Floor mats. The first thing I did when I reached home after taking delivery of the car was to throw the mat away. That speaks about the quality of the Mats:deadhorse. I replaced them with a very effective "noodle mats". pics available here..

Mine was at Trident Hyundai, Hosur Road. I've been haggling them to give me a set of rubber mats, and they are always "out of stock".

Can anyone suggest some good mats under 3k? and a place in Bangalore where I can buy them ?

I had similar problems - start reading from this post - may be helpful.

today's update - replaced my car's air bag assy unit worth 25k under warranty.

Well the manual says some lock available under left side door that disables the airbag. I did try looking for one but I can't see any. I'm a Asta CRDi user.

P.s. Not that I want to disable the airbag but this is just "FYI" for me.

It's on the Head Unit to the left of glove box and very near to door hinge. Not on the door. And it's a key for passenger air bag on\off. Operated by main car key.
Driver airbag is always on.

On the dashboard to the left, the part which is covered by the door when it's shut.

The auto wipers are a hit and miss for me. At low speeds, and when there is more than normal rain, the wipers don't do their work effectively. Its works like an intermittent wiper arrangement, but my problem is that the time gap between two wipes is large and is a hinderance to visibility. Especially at night. As the speed of the car increases, the auto speeds up and becomes a continuous wiper speed, and that is comfortable on the vision.

Hey Guys,
Just returned from a test drive. The Sales Executive informed me that i20 Asta and Sport are gone get new fog lamps with LEDs. And thats gone cost some 10k extra (seems more for a fog lamp change). This change is gone come around in a months time or so. Anybody heard of this?

This could be the DRLs available on the export models, making their way into the Indian market. I have seen a number of cars with after-market DRLs and this could be a good move by Hyundai - adding more and more features to its products.clap:

If DRLs come in, will the fog lamps be as effective as they are now?

Can any i-Gen petrol i20 owners comment on the vibrations at idle of your cars? Is it on the higher side? At idle, the RPM needle sits somewhere between the 800-1000 mark, but I can still feel that the car vibrates more than it should. I am comparing this to the idling in my Jazz and the difference is noticeable! I also read somewhere Hyundai's are prone to more vibrations. Is that the case for real?

my i gen i20 petrol has just completed 6000 kms in 4 months. Idle is extremely silent and refined. During cold start the car idles at approx 1100 rpm for the first 10-15 secs & then settles at about 800 rpm.
Can you please clarify whether you are feeling excess vibration through gear lever, pedal etc ?
Don't know about jazz but i have driven my friends ivtec city and the cars engine refinement is on par if not better.
suggest you to get the car checked.
