Below is my case and the email written to Honda.

But Honda has just refused to accept their quality issue

Hi ,
I considered myself to be the proud owner of Honda Amaze Diesel S MT with registration no. MH 47 N **** in Mumbai region
But a recent quality issue in the vehicle has left a dent in this belief I would like to bring to your notice the quality issue being faced by me currently
The vehicle was purchased in 11th July 2016.
Today when it went to Solitaire Honda service centre for clutch related problem, they told me that the Clutch and fly wheel are worn out. It came to me as a shock as the vehicle is merely 3 – 4 months old. And it is from Honda – a brand that we trust since years
I have had multiple vehicles from Honda in the past but never expected / faced such a quality issue
This seems to be a clear case of faulty / substandard part being put which has caused the failure in such a new car
I strongly feel that this part should be replaced under warranty from Honda India.
Given the Honda brand and reputation I sincerely urge you to look into this and suggest. Your early attention will be appreciated
Honda Amaze Diesel S MT

Part : Clutch Plates and Fly wheel

Folks, can you suggest anything or should I just go ahead and replace the clutch and the fly wheel spending around 30K

Does anybody know how much the new amaze's arm rest cost? Is it possible to fit this in the older models too?

Sorry to hear about the issues you have faced. I strongly recommend you to get the replacement done within warranty. Honda asking you to pay 30k for part replacement within 4 months is simply ridiculous. I've been through this in my Amaze (replacement of brake pad within 10k).

The service center will push for you to pay for the parts, but be adamant on replacement within warranty and escalate this matter to Honda HQ.

I have driven my friend's Amaze S Diesel (two months old, facelift model) couple of days ago and found that NVH levels were very much acceptable (IMHO very less harsh than VW, Ford & Skoda. No offense please). Did Honda improved the NVH levels of i-Dtech ? I have come across some positive statements on i-Dtech in City thread also.

Haven't Driven Amaze Diesel since 1 year, but Jazz & City Diesel, definitely yes. We had a 2011 Verna Diesel which was replaced by a 2016 City Diesel. And the noise levels were very minimal. I have reported the same thing in City Official Review Thread.

There is also a 2013 Rapid which sounds like tractor at low speeds, but the City is way more refined then the Rapid. Same could be the case for Amaze.

Did any one tried below mentioned type of LED rear lights in Amaze ?
I am planning to install those after my warranty expires in 2017.

It is mentioned that these lights are direct pin to pin fitment (Plug & Play).
Do they affect the life of battery or wiring in any way ?

I have done my 70000 km service for my Amaze diesel in November. Apart from regular services, Egr, intake manifold and throttle body was cleaned. The final bill came to Rs 4234.
Also since my clutch had become hard got it replaced as well. Final bill came to Rs 12,654 which includes some bumper work.

Hi BHPians,

My Car's (Honda Amaze EX-MT iDTEC) ICE (Audio System) power line fuse seems to have blown out today. I tried referring to the Owner's Manual and accessed the fuse enclosure however, I could not make out which particular fuse belongs to ICE power line.

I have attached the picture of the Fuse enclosure and also the details from the Owner's mannual, if anyone with knowledge of the same can guide me with right information it would be of great help.

Hi buddy, I guess you missed attaching the image of the owners manual.

Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)-bcm.jpg

Please see the image of the fuse box (BCM) located in the passenger compartment in the Swift. It has the names of the fuses and the rating. I am not sure how it is in the Honda though.

Can you please post a image of the fuse box and also the image of the owners manual?!

Sorry that I missed attaching the images in my original post.

I am attaching them with this reply.

However it appears that the black cover on the fuse board on your car is actually a kind of label for the fuses on the fuse housing. In my case of Honda Amaze iDTEC, I don't have any such cover on the fuse housing.

I would still appreciate any help / suggestions from anyone in the forum, as I am simply reluctant to visit Honda Service Center just to replace a fuse, which actually can be done by myself.

Finally I have found the schematic diagram of Honda Amaze's Fuse enclosure.
It's attached herewith for anyone else who might need it.

Recently did a Bangalore Pune round trip.
The car was serviced (ODO reading 41298 km) prior to trip. It was a routine service with engine oil change and topping up of other fluids. The cost of service was 4536/-, slightly higher than what I had expected. The service station carried out some unnecessary (read additional) work despite telling them in advance, not to carry out apart from what I had told them.
Total distance traveled was 2090 km. Total fuel filled during trip 120.03 liters costing Rs. 8912.03 and the toll cost was Rs. 1779.00.
The car performed well and there were no surprises. The only problem was the tyres, the Goodyear tyres are losing on performance and I think a change is required.

I have a 2013 model Amaze diesel. The brake pads were changed when the car had run 21,966km, But now when the car has covered 30,800kms I am hearing a squealing sound under hard to medium braking. I have been using the car in crawling Bangalore traffic for 3 months now. Could it be because of sand or some other particle or is it because of a worn brake pad? The braking is still not too bad. I do drive the car hard but always use engine braking to slow down.

Nothing is going to happen even if you write to Honda HQ.. I had brake pad and disc replaced at 20K. These guys made me pay for the same.. despite writing on social media and emails directed to the top management.

Hi Guys,
I just picked up my new White horse, the Honda Amaze S MT Petrol. I found the clutch to be a little hard and there is a hesitation in pickup at low RPMs between 1500 to 2200 rpm, especially with the AC on. The acceleration is not consistent. I never had this problem with my Alto. Just wanted to check if this is normal. Is it a characteristic of Vtechs?

Any insights would help! Just completed 950kms, she will be due for her 1st service in a days time.
