I did check with the dealer and they confirmed that the warranty is not void by tire upgrade.

This was a great review! Loved reading it and looking at the pics! Am totally impressed with this engine. Ford has managed to up the power to 100ps with 8 valves per cylinder. Should be a stonker on the highways!

The one on the dashboard. Isn't it the sensor for the ACC to sense the interior temp? I do not see another one like that on the control panel. So this could be it. Don't know if any manufacturer would provide two mics. Though I could be wrong.

I guess you have a typo over there. It is not 8 valves per cylinder but 2 valves per cylinder (i.e. 8 valves in total for a 4 cylinder engine). This is a SOHC (Single OverHead Camshaft) engine unlike the DOHC multijet.

Yes I think they are the 4 Straight Diesel engines - DV5 - 16 valve DOHC

No, I am afraid they are not. Refer the quote below from TBHP Official review of the Aspire. Hope this helps clarify your doubt.

The Figo Aspire diesel joins the Honda Amaze in the hundred horsepower club and also delivers the highest torque rating in the segment. Ford has plonked in the familiar 1.5L TDCi engine from the EcoSport / Fiesta, but with more power & torque. Unlike the old Figo, the Aspire has an intercooler and deploys a fixed geometry turbo. The block and head are made of aluminium. Where the more contemporary diesels (Honda's 1.5L, Fiat-GM's 1.3L etc.) have a 16 valve DOHC (double overhead camshaft) valvetrain, Ford's TDCi engine is an 8 valve SOHC (single overhead camshaft) unit. The Mahindra Logan, Nissan Sunny and Toyota Etios also employ 8 valve SOHC diesels. These are honest, robust old-school mechanicals.

Unlike the Multijets, CRDi, Honda etc the Ford unit is similar to the K9K unit that has 2 valves per cylinder.
