Thats a very sweet figure for a vehicle weighing 1.2 tonne and has a 1.6 DOHC engine.

which fuel to use for the sx4??

picked up the red sx4 today from competent lajpat nagar
vxi version costed approx 6,58,000 (got a rebate of 12 k approx on insurance as i transferred the old insurance of my zen which had a ncb of 65 % )

drove the car back home i cant upload pics coz i dont have privileges to do so being a new user i presume.the car sure has an awesome road presence in fact a wagon r passed me and the height seemed more or
less same . looks are not good when viewed in the showroom, yes it doesn come acrosss as a stunner but once u take it out on the road the entire scenario changes it does make a lot of heads turn .trust me this car has commanding road presence and is quite sweet to drive too.

the civic car external cover fitted the sx4 to perfection.will go shopping for the stereo next im getting a sony/jvc mp3 for 4800(excluding speakers) contemplating which one to go in for.

i have a small query though if somebody on thius forum cud clear

which fuel to use for the sx4??
is the engine extremely sensitive that it requires octane 94 r speed r will the normal unleaded fuel work . the salesman dint have a clue i asked him the same thing.

you are really really trying hard to convince yourself on buying the car!

Why dont just give in the temptation? Its only one life you got...what would 1-2 kmpl matter?

sids,

fyi, i ve booked the car almost a fortnight back, even before the launch party began. that aside, i ve driven the palio earlier which wouldnt give anything more than 10kmpl and a couple of 800s which gave me 15-18kmpl. FE is not my prime importance now for the sx4. temptation is different from level headed thinking, which is why i am buying the sx4 now and no other car. as you say its only one life anyones got, atleast lets use it wisely!

Congrats Karun,on you choice.

Please refer to the manual for the grade of fuel.

Go for JVC..it is a better buy and also VFM.

Is SX4 a '4 Wheel drive' or 2WD? I didn't find this info anywhere.

A car doing 12.5secs to 100kmph is highly unlikely to do a quat mile in 17secs if my math serves me right! A stock baleno(the 94bhp one) clocks a 0 to 100kmph in 12secs. This car averages a quat mile in around 18.4secs!

Yes , your maths is indeed good .. And memo's stock engined baleno did 16.9 secs and balenos do a 0-100 in 11.4 secs claimed by ACI i think .. The SX4 should do 1/4 mile in about 18.xx ..
