Morning gents

The Noir Plot that Dampens!
The case of harishv has shaken many of us, but we must focus on the positive: not all dealers can be tarred with the same brush, and just because there is one rotten apple, there's little help from jumping to conclusions and expecting the worst.

We all sympathize with him- I'm sure and, speaking for myself, would extend all possible assistance to get him out of this spot while ensuring he gets a fair deal.
Yet, life must go on. Let's shake ourselves out of this noir stupor and look at the sunnier side of things. You guys with me?

It's trip season!!

Fabia folks!

Its high time for a paradigm wheel-shift to get our babies wet and tumbled on the beautiful sunny days...
Let's decide where to trip, what's the agenda for the trip, should this be a recce/recession/short/long trip...

more the merrier!

If it was only the dealer then there was little problem. But as he has pointed out - Skoda India also seems to be hand-in-glove in that case. What can a poor customer do if the company also starts behaving like that...

I too took a test drive of the Fabia Ambiente (1.2 Petrol) and really liked it. The car simply rocks at higher speeds (although it takes an eternity to reach those speeds. That doesnt matter to me as I am a very sedate and disciplined driver.) I wanted to book the car but surprisingly the dealer/salesperson didnt even bother to follow-up with me! This despite me telling her very clearly that I had liked the car! If thats the kind of attitude even before buying the car I just cant imagine the kind of apathy after the sale! I really like Skoda cars (am a big fan of the so-called Euro build) but am really frustrated that they still treat us third world. I have now resigned to not buying any Skoda product till they can change this attitude of theirs convincingly. Even Honda here in Delhi has changed considerably why cant Skoda? All this attitude for a "failed" car!!! Its mind-boggling.

I don't think anybody will contradict you. I too have heard a lot about a Skoda dealer in Gurgaon and a lone dealer in Hyderabad. I also experienced the airy attitude by a sales guy in one of the dealers in Bangalore at the time when I had decided to buy Fabia. I switched to the other dealer. They have been serving me well (hope I didn't speak too early, touch wood). Let Punto, Jazz and diesel Corolla arrive, Skoda dealers will be forced to mend ways or close down. Hoping to see better days.

VKJ: Good idea. 'recession' trip could be 2 kms round. Ha ha. With 1 sandwich to be shared by 6 people. All cars running gobar gas.

Jokes aside, we could aim for someplace not too far off- Nandi Hills, perhaps, as one of ye suggested the other day. I'm open to other locales as well but would personally prefer to stick to decent tarmac and not go off road.

The weather too is conducive to basking in the sun and not getting fried.
What would your pref be?

joslicx: Real pity. Do us all a favour and send the very same words you've written here to the top Execs at Skoda Czech. That will shake them out of their complacence.

"...The car simply rocks at higher speeds (although it takes an eternity to reach those speeds..." Ha ha.

Mysticeyes/Fabiosi: Let's spread the message. This has to become a case study and Dealers across India must be made aware that we- the customers- are not going to take things lying down. There will be repercussions and we will actively drive them.

I think Harishv should escalate this to the very top and not pull ANY punches or be demure in any manner. It's our duty to support him and also ensure he gets maximum traction in fighting his case. Remember, next time it could easily be one of us. Right now, if he wins, we all win in a way.

Our ownership has been rosy so far. Go thru our thread and it's all poetry and accolades and good times. I for one am glad this 'dark' side has surfaced as it gives us a reality check.[/quote]

one of the best support posts i have had so far. thank you fabia family. i really appreciate it.

Going thru harishv's thread makes me angry. Already I have seen many people move out of VW's brands due to Skoda's malpractice. Clearly, I'm also not happy with Skoda's *** and support provided to its customers. Why don't we send a signal to Skoda that we aren't happy with it?

Yes, indeed. It is time we plan, and let Skoda know what the owners and perspective buyers think about it. All thanks to their horrendous A.S.S.

send an email straight to Skoda. They have call center type organizations that handle customer email and you will receive a reply 100%, because they make their commission based on how many cases they handle.

shykrish: It's great news that you guys are rounding up the troops. It's quite an experience to meet up with the other Fabiosi and I hope you get it together soon.

Go for it- Circle the wagons!

Trivandrum A.S.S.

The treatment meted out to Harishv is simply unacceptable, especially from the company. Some dealers (of most brands) have past records of such frauds but the company hand in gloves sends a shiver.

Harishv your courage and resilience is exemplary, I dont think there are many who would put up such a fight! kudos and we are with you

As for my experience, the experience at Marikar has so far been good (especially keeping in mind they have monopoly for the whole of Kerala), only minor grouse was that they would take more time than required, now that they have expanded their workshop/service bays that should be solved.

I see a white Fabia with what I think is an O.Z sticker on the rear gate parked in front of Women's College, Vazhuthacaud, in TVM. Is he on T-BHP?

I go there every day to drop my mom off. She's a Guest Lecturer there.
