If it is not puncture than weak valve is a possibility. I had experienced something similar in my cycle in my teen . Mud would fill the valve hole, and when I tried filling air, it would be pushed further inside and thus interrupting with proper functioning (closing) of the valve. It was easy to fix then. Anyway it will require refilling so better do it at a tyre/refill shop. Or let those guys do it.

Sign? I did not notice it. It could be LDF/UDF political publicity stuff or "No trespassing". Trip ooty will be cool for sure. Enjoy

Stolen Badges: Thats frustating. I too read in the magazine about this. One may end up in the chor bazaar, buying one's own stuff.

I certainly hope this girl from Ipanema has not plighted her troth, walked down the aisle, done ring-a-ring-a round the fire.
It will be one hell of a task to find .

@shykrish: I noticed a few Xylo's on the trip. But none of them had KL registration. Anyway the trip was awesome. Hope you enjoyed too.

@netchef: Thanks a ton sir!, the inputs are definitely adding beauty and traction to the subject. I will try to figure out the coordinates you mentioned. Thanks once again for your time RG.

@fi.robin: You are right sir! I too feel it is better to take it to a tyre center, since am not aware of the technicalities involved in doing this myself
Quote As there is no tube, and, hence, no tube valve, a specialised valve is employed for increasing/reducing the air pressure in a tubeless tyre. The valve (check out the line drawing to see how it mounts) sits on the tyre rim and is ingeniously sealed by a large high quality rubber seal which is easy to mount. Unquote

Fabiosi-of-Varied-Lodges: What plans for the weekend? Any exciting trips? I gather it is raining Persians and Dobermans on ze coast, so splendid weather for some sputnikking around the bucolic glades glass in hand and beady eye set sternly on a benevolent aila-fry.
Whatever it is, have fun, drive safe.

If I get a chance and the occassion is why not. Imagine two Fabias in your porch.

@Mysticeyes: Pics are just too good. I am seriously thinking of photography lessons. Wondering if a trip from Bangalore is possible and what is the best time ? Is the little lady your baby?

Please don't shoot me, I am regular here .

Hi VKJ: I haven't faced the issue yet and I do have the same matador tyres.. Maybe as RG has pointed out, it could be a decelerated puncture.

Hehe... Funny statement Mystic and brilliant photos... I'm not sure if they were taken off a DSLR, but whatever the cam may be, photos are lovely..

Well, I don't have anything else to talk about here, but just check out my latest acquisition for the Fab... and it's just Rs.125/- bucks from TOTAL mall [casual buy since the My Shaldan can parfume was completely used].

It's a brand called Airwick and smells fine, and somehow, spreads the parfume much better than the useless [as for me] Ambi Pur car parfume...

Bangy Fab boys: Any meets or short drives planned for this week? I'm not online on weekends so please do give me a call if something comes up...

The door to Kerala is always open to you and all other fabiosis/ TBHpians including a certain Bald Brothers Inc. from Bangalore. You've reached as far as Munnar and another couple of hours would take you to Cochin or Allappey/ Kumarakom backwaters. I've always suggested that you guys get stuffed into one fabia and drive down. We can meet up somewhere around and have lots of Karimeen, tender coconut, hot or cold drinks (as netchef commented, in a lazy setting opposite to some palm fringed lagoon). Yes, that's my li'l angel wandering around the resort in the pic. The ideal time would be from June-September, when the atmosphere would be cooled by rain with medium sun shine

@ K_ajay, the same brand, Airwick is being used my me. ofcourse, its much better than Ambipur. DSLR is next on my wishlist. Right now, I'm clicking with Sony DSC-H50, which can be termed as the last step before a true blood SLR. Got miles to go before I can handle DSLRs

Invinsible and others: I need some help here. After my first servicing of the car (or rather wheel balancing and stuff) I notice a strange noise from the front left tyre side. The noise is as if a spring is being made to work against it's will (rotation of the spring). This is noticeable only when I am working the steering hard at stationary or low very speed, like in parking. Again it does not happen always.

This problem was solved when I took the car again to workshop last month. They had replaced something under warranty (I ll post what that "something" was later, will have to search through papers). But after the summer camp early this month, it cropped up again. I get a feeling that the replaced item is/was not the cause (if at all they replaced something ). Could it just be a lubrication issue or something serious? Can I try putting grease to some movable joints seen after removing the tyres, just from outside? Will rebalancing at a proper tyre shop help? I am a bit reluctant in taking it to the workshop again.

hi All,
I may not be looking into this thread for long, as I have decided to sell off my Fabia.
Perhaps will go for City or Linea.

regards

@Fardan: Sorry missed your post earlier about this issue. Please update the current state of affairs

@fi.robin: Please describe the noise/melodious sound! is it like a conk noise? is it like a screech noise? is it like a stone in a glass bottle? or does it sound like this man wall banging
ahhh I leave it to you to describe morefully sire!

@k_ajay: Lack of motivation surging around, some managers, please take the initiatives.

Update: I took the vehicle to the workshop, suspecting it to be something with valve. The service person checked the valve and certified it to be perfect by applying a easily available human secretion from the mouth. Next thing was a suspected puncture and checked for the same. At the end of the day, the problem could not be correctly identified. In case of tubeless tyres, how does one suspect a puncture or valve? does it take more time like days for the tyre to deflate? it its a bigger rupture, I think the tyres would burst right!

Thats a non issue. We will be happy to read your posts about your experiences and other stories.

That is hard but lets try. If you rotate your steering with high angular velocity when your car is stationary, you will hear some noise from the tyre side, noise of strained spring kind (keep your tyres on a smooth surface and not on gravel otherwise you will hear something else). I guess it is normal because I have heard in other Fabia's as well, including Ajay's.

Now multiply the decible by a few factors. That's what I hear and it is not normal.

Airwick didn't work for me: glad you like it.

fi.robin: Sounds like bushes to me. Octavia chaps have faced similar problems and they were emphatically solved with a dab of grease.

Ask Russell at their new showroom to have his guys check it for you...you can say you're on a referral from me.
