ROARR??? hehe..if you term 100kmph as ROAR, then what would you say about the insane 160kmph? You are on spot when you said about the straight line stability. rather I would say, its the most enjoyable part of highway driving, where u can have the car in control with single finger. Did i read that you had a li'l squeaky mousie sound from the centre console? my car had that sound earlier on, but I got it fixed with a lsight push with hand on the left bottom corner. The squeaky mousie haven't reared its head after that (been about 6 months now)

About the TVM meet - things didn't work out last weekend and since its going to be a pretty long weekend this time and most guys including me would be out of town (if everything works out fine, I would be sleeping under the shade of coconut farm with some cool backwater breeze). After the backwater trip, I'm planning to take my car for some mountain climbing on next monday/tuesday. Hope to click fabias pic in some hilly terrains

Congrats on that.

190 - amazing I dont think I will ever have the guts to do that kind of speeds. maybe someday

Could you please throw some light on the intake system? The make and more importantly the cost, also I have a petes tuning box and green cotton filter installed, does that have to do anything with the intake etc..

Thanks in advance

Well the intake system I am talking about is the Air intake system which comes before the filter. I have done is a custom intake kit, with a custom pipe build for it, along with the green storm filter. Look back into the page and you will find the pic on it. the amount I paid for piping came upto 1000 bucks along with the labour apart from the filter cost.

I suppose he meant SUPERB TSI. That's one hell of a ride to have. Thinking of getting one in coming months.

Invinsible: Firstly, CONGRATS, Sir. I'd no clue you were in that ballpark of nearing 25K kms. truly astounding. And now you're busy hitting 190Kmph and blowing the competition out of their socks- I wouldn't be surprised if I found grown men Ferrari owners weeping at the shame and ignominy.

Great write-up as well.

shykrish: I love speeds, but somehow haven't found a road clear enough - or long enough- to really push the envelope. Am also reluctant to resort to boy-racer antics just to attain high numbers on the speedo, only to have to slam on the brakes for a signal or some traffic.

In Invinsible's case, his Fabia will get there faster, hence requiring a shorter stretch of tarmac. Fantastic. I have got to see this.

Summer Camp check-list photos

Ok folks. Sorry about posting this at almost the end of the day, but work was hectic and I couldn't take time out.

I have been trying to upload the photos of the snaps I took off the summer camp 51 points check list, for the last 1 hour [repeatedly], but for some reason, the manage attachment window fails and I'm unable to add photos. I wonder why this is happening; no idea.

I'll try to post the snaps again tomorrow noon, as soon as I step into work [if its possible]. Please kindly adjust until then. THanks

Timed it today and 0-100 comes up within 10 Sec. Somewhere around 9.5 sec or so.
There has also been increase in mileage getting around 17+ kms per liter Yes that's 190 and never thought a FABIA diesel with a 3 CYLINDER with just 1.4L engine would ever be able to do that.
CHeers!

Opps!!!.
Invinsible that's one hell of a car. Im glad that you are able to enjoy with her.

MadRash: ...and enjoy her he does. What I also appreciate is he's happy and adventurous enough to go out on a limb exploring new technologies/gadgets for his car.

NETCHEF: What's a life without being adventurous, whether it is places or technology

I am trying to get use to the new found power and torque. But, seems like it ain't gonna be that easy. It's just too addictive, just land flooring the right leg often and see the cars disappearing in my rear view mirror. Last night I went to check out this stretch, the distance I use to travel to reach 140, now I can reach 150+ in that same distance. Truly exhilarating.

COMING UP:
Plan to get a New front Mount Intercooler which would add more punch in power by aiding much colder air as compared to stock side mount intercooler. This is one last thing I can do to make the power better. I have already reached the Max limit of the turbo and gearbox, clutch now. Doing anything further will have serious health hazard on the car. Wish the gearbox was strong enough to take more. Unless I plan to source a six speed gearbox, a new turbo, and new clutch but that's going over the limit.
New brake kit to help in better stopping incase of emergency.

New Set of Shoes ( tyres ) for better gripping.

New Head unit radio, which already got it, but not been able to fit it since trying to source the dash kit for the same.

If the FMIC is bigger than the stock one, you'll lose some boost, which you'll have to compensate for. You're in for it for good, aren't ya?

Thanks for your suggestion, yes I am aware about that hence still searching for the right fit as it's not readily available.

There was a model/trim called 'Active' (don't know whether its available now or not). That came without a music system. So check with the dealer for the housing.

Invinsible: Oh, our cars have an Intercooler? That's news to me

I know all about the speeds a stretch of road dictates: my Blade would top 180 on a certain city road between traffic lights, but I was pretty sure the newer bikes with fuel injection would do 10-15 more under the same conditions.
Tech upgrades move you up the food chain.

The best car a man could ever have!!!!!

Once Invinsible mentioned about "hand raising" of poor mortals who wish to be in Invinsible's auto engg class.I'm going to raise my hands first. These days, too much of FMIC, HUR, PIs, TIC, NADOHC, DMNAV etc etc is making me feel M.A.D and D.U.M.B

but I couldn't agree more, neither can any other guys. but it would be more enjoyable if its a better car too
