Great job Eddy. Certainly not a bungled butt is it?! The potential buyer would certainly pick the Dzire over the Indigo and the more so the Logan. Tata might have found a new price point with the CS, but it might be raining discounts at the M&M showroom very soon...

The rear looks good and dont feel like an extension of the hatch. But they should have made some changes to front also.Hope the pricing comes right.....Then the indigo and logan will have a tough time.

Looks nice from the back. I kind of didn't like the front, especially the headlights, since we are used to seeing them on swifts, it looks quite odd on a sedan.

IMO, they should have atleast changed the front headlights to a different design and it would have looked cool.

I remember reading somewhere that the length is 4132mm or so. Certainly not less than 4m.

The lower models come with 165/80R14.

Nice work Eddy. Maruti guy's have done a good work.

With Mauti's aggresive pricing, it will give serious comptition to all the cars in it's segment, may be to Swift hatch it self.

Tata did an awesome job with chopping the boot on the Indigo CS to bring the car under 4 mtrs. The car looks quite cute from the 3/4th rear angle..IMHO.

The critics have not been silenced.
Picture abhi baki hai.

The real car (slated to replace the graceful Esteem) has turned out to be every bit as ugly as the PS images predicted. The rear is as ugly if not uglier than the Bangle BMWs.

If the original Indigo (not the CS) looked like a boot had been hastily attached to a hatch, the Dzire (cant they come up with something more original for a name?) looks like sedan that had a hatch's nose stuck on. Still, a very good job of adding a boot. If they bring this out with the unrestricted, 90bhp version of the diesel engine I guess nobody would really mind the stubby nose.

Well its in the segment of Logan & Indigo & by the looks of it Maruti has come out with a sedan modification (Dzire) on a successful existing product (Swift) with segment re-defining features at a competetive price (as per estimates) with both engine variants.

I find , it is a fitting replacement of esteem and likely to be worth the hard earned money.

In the bigger picture critics do not matter. What matters that the car appeals to the real buyers of the segment.
