@kataylsm76: You have sold me on this car. I've been desperately waiting for a TD but had to decline an offer as I was not in town that day. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next week!

A very well put together review.

Even i have a old Esteem. Your TD experience actually made me think seriously about selling that and buying this one.

I kinda liked the older version. It had a better profile than this new avatar. Anyway, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. I guess Fiesta will once again take Ford sales figures higher and higher.

In the current Fiesta, the sports model interiors are not up to the mark with cheap fabric; the SXi model, they have put all aluminum instead of chrome and again gives a poor feeling. I tried it when looking for a change from my existing Ikon, but even the drive did not give feel peppy. It is unfortunate that Ford does not a good option for existing owners to move to. The Ikon is a good car, but I would not rate Fiesta at the same level. I hope the new model somewhat addresses these

Hi,
AVEO 1.4 LS & LT have better interiors and exteriors. The plus points of this car is the smooth gear shift and responsive engine. At 7.6 Lac people may go for Verna or Honda city.

Fiesta 1.6S Top Speed?

I know this sounds crazy but I've got an excellent car right now and am looking for a reason compelling enough to propel me to a Ford Showroom to book the new Fiesta Limited Edition. And that's the title of this thread.I have an Indica Turbo , but it's so satisfying to own , done 43500 km and very minimal problems, regularly drive 130-140 kph on it on roads outside b'lore and get 15-16 kmpl on really rough driving.
Having read enough and more of fiesta 1.6 performance reports like 'hoot to drive' and stuff like that, I'm now in an insane mood that I probably will not find myself in later (to go and buy this car that is ,I'm convincing myself to wait for an SX4).

But this opportunity may be the best to pass by for some time(after which all prices eventually drop) so please write in and let me know the top speeds you could achieve safely (speedometer readings are fine and I don't need moto journo style replies with authentic readings with speed-testing gear and all that) without raising your hair in your Fiesta 1.6 (any model including the S).
This is the ONE thing that I did not find in the reviews and the reports extensively available on the 1.6S.
Hoping for some help from the experienced Fiesta owners here. And while you are at it , would be really grateful to hear your highway mileage reports too.The city driving is something all of us can't really help!
Thanks folks in advance!
Cheers,
rpmx1000

hi,
if you have not owned this car so far, please visit any GM showroom and see the new AVEO 1.6 or 1.4 Limited edition. You will see the difference. Don't worry, GM have started doing well in India and Looking confident after record sale of SPARK and with launch of new CRUZE. they are about to introduce BEAT. The AVEO has more space than fiesta(you can not accomodate 3 people in the rear in fiesta easily), better ground clearance, steering (new), Gear (new), integrated music system (new). 1.6 has ABS with airbags and the interier is a class. Driving is very smooth and car is very punchy. I found the body of AVEO tougher than other Sedan.
