Welcome to Team-BHP.

Congrats!! You need the beast for long drives.

Use search feature and you will find many threads on your areas of interest.

I would recommend you not to take advise from ICE section if you do not want to exceed your budget.
I think Bull Audio will go well with the beast. Let the bull tame the beast.

Do read Abey4u's post on the lighting thread - he found the Nightbreakers unsuitable during the rains & has now gone back to the stock Philips H4s IIRC

Sorry, a correction - he didn't go back to the stock bulbs, he got the Philips Extreme Power 60/55s

Not sure about the Philips - PM Ashthedivx, he may be able to help, a friend of his is a distributor; better still, PM Abbey4u to ask him where he got them from.

The cost would be a really hot backside [EDIT: ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU HAVE AN LX. GET THE ROOF-MOUNTED A/C, ITS WORTH THE COST] - not a good idea, given your gender. Stick to fabric.

Me too have moved to Xtreme Power. and yes its really good. I am confident to press the accelerator beyond 120 kmph in nights.

I purchased it from ebay at approx Rs 950 (including shipping charges). Anyone else purchasing from a local dealer, do bargain for it. They charge at a premium as Xtreme power is normally not available easily.

Hi Hands-on,
Congratulations on the buy. Do post some pictures. And which version of safari did you buy (LX/EX/VX)?

Man i am really loving this beast it has given me 14.5 FE in second tankful.

Also kicked the butt of the service centre guys for the worst PDI possible and as they missed putting the right side indicator bulb. Yes i should also have checked it in the first place.

Congrats on your purchase. What were the driving conditions when you got 14.5 FE?

Tata surly has improved CCD

Well the unexpected happenned yesterday, i complained about bad job done by the dealer and got a call from tata for apology and was promised rectification of the issues with some free goodies bundelded as their token of apology.

The dealer also sent their representative to apologise to my wife.

To have a good car and top it up with reponsive service is adding to my delight.

Thank you all for my decision.

Congratulations Hands-on.

Your initial experience is a great confidence booster since, I too went ahead and bought a VTT VX even though my wife wasn't too convinced about having an SUV in Mumbai. She changed her mind though after I took her on a TD. I hope the level of service in Mumbai would be good. I bought it from Wasan Motors in Borivili.

I went to the stockyard and did an inspection. Everything seemed okay with the odo showing 31 kms and no apparent damage or color change anywhere. Right now I am awaiting delivery.

I never thought about an SUV or Safari at all when I wanted to move from my NHC. Going through all the Safari posts in TBHP convinced me that this is the car for me!
