@Dieseled , I used to keep 32 in front and 30 at rear .But the ride was more harsher .so settled on 30 for both. In bill they mentioned as ' element assy air cleaner' . I thought this is air filter.

My car due for the 1.5 yr/30k service by end of this month. But it has done less than 20k kms.The scheduled 1.5yr/30k service insists on changing diesel filter and oil change. Do i need to change it or should i wait for 30k kms to complete?
Also the scheduled 20k service was done at 14.6k kms.

Oil needs to be changed every 6 months or 10000km, which ever earlier. When changing oil, it is best to change the oil filter also. That is also the practice. Diesel filter itself you can wait for the change.

As part of 30k service they will clean the brake pads .
These charges are for removal and installation of brakes.

Next time, pls try to negotiate with them that the car has not done 30k, so not to do the item. That task can be done when the car actually does 30k. You will need to study the schedule before you go there, so can tell them what tasks you want to postpone.

I did tell them since the car has not done 30k .But the SA was telling like either 30k or 1.5 which ever is earlier and if i dont want to do it they will not. Thinking of warranty stuff and all i told him to proceed .

That would the be the standard response. The table mentioned in the owner's manual contains an assumed running over a certain period of time. For oils etc, I would agree. For others, it's a case to case basis.

Take the example of spark plugs in a car. If the service schedule says replace plugs at 40k / 2years, I dont think you need to replace the plugs at 2 years itself, if you have run only 20k. But yes, if you have run 40k in 1.5 years (before the 2 year period), then definitely replace the plugs.

You are correct Condor. But what these guys will do is will put a note on the service history that these things are not done at the schedule service and later on if we claim for some warranty stuff these guys will slay blah blah .So i thought let it got till 2yr service and after will restict only to necessary item.
Mods ,Thanks for updating the title.

Try it once. If there is a remark, go back in a week's time and get that also done

Never have faced that situation where they put a note in the service book. Though I dont know if there is an entry in the company's records. My SA's too have never mentioned this, so I will assume that no such thing is done.
