BTW, I was tired of waiting for the bonnet opening lever part from the Concorde near Diary Circle. They had been telling me that I could go to Begur (where only servicing is done) and get it replaced. I was earlier lazy to go till there. I decided to go yesterday at around 5:30pm.

Man. They have completely changed their attitude and it is for the good. As soon as I walked in, they greeted me with a question on why I had come. I was asked to sit for a minute and they served me tea, which I politely declined (I'm a teetotaler, not even soft drinks, only water). Within a minute I was called into the service manager and I was assigned to a service engineer in front of me. They asked me if I had any other problem.

I explained my problems of odometer reding during delivery and odometer reset on my first day. He explained to me that odometer is allowed to be reset from the menu only once in the entire life of odo system and that can be done only before 250Km. I was surprised but happy to hear a proper answer. And double happy to know that reset was really done by me, which means that they had not done the reset before (as it is allowed only once). Not sure if it is written in the manual.

They replaced the lever and it is all fine now. I couldn't convince the service manager to change my engine oil. I will anyway complete 3Mm next week and give for service. I just pray that the engine is doing all good and fine, because I can now see that the oil has become two times darker than when I earlier checked. I usually wipe the engine oil gauge meter on a clean white tissue paper and see the color to examine.
congrats on a wonderful car Finally Fiat/Tata getting their act together
How much did it come to on road in Bangalore?

Delivery - Had been to the dealer yday. He is sticking to the outer limit of 10th march. But also indicated that he will be getting a delivery schedule tomorrow (25th Feb) and if my car is in the list then i could get delivery early next week.
The Sun film done from outside cost me 1300Rs for 4 windows and rear windshield and 1300Rs for Front Windshield too.
So you know how they overcharge at the dealer end.

So was your Car in the delivery schedule? 10th March is also a good day - Holi So buy a car cover too on the first day itself..

More Facts about Linea

Hello! Thanks everyone for your inputs and good wishes.
Its 5 days now that my Linea is with me and here are some facts about the interiors of the car, which at least I was not aware of.
Fiat provides one Remote control unit with key and one mechanical key. Its strange that they have not provided the duplicate one. As per the manual, one can go for total 8 paired keys for the car. Each key has unique code, which is supplied on a credit card like card with manual. the sales guys are supposed to hand over that card to the buyer separately with clear instructions about its importance and how to order extra keys. I was not informed by the sales guy for the same and I found the card in the glove box.
There are total 9 air vents for the A.C. one just above the inside RVM, 3 in dash board, 2 in front at foot level on central console, 2 below the front seats for rear passengers and one in a rear centre console. Its amazing!
Trip meter shows FE per 100 Kms. and not per liter of the fuel.
ICE-This is a Blaupunkt Fiat D323 MP3 system, working really fine. The only problem is its manual in non-english language so unable to find out settings for front/rear speakers and adjust Bass/Treble etc. Selecting memory button 2 plays the local fm radio, but displays 'ALARM', I do not know what alarm it is!
Driver seat adjustment is perfect. It requires some adjustments, but once you know it, its not a problem at all.
Will post more detail review in weekend.

What is the use of the card? To make the set of the rest 6 keys (i assume you get 2 keys with the car)?
AFAIK, the trip meter settings can be customised to display kmpl rather than litres per 100km.
ICE manual - I have asked my local dealer to check whether the manual is in English or in a foreign language. Will let you know.
Look fwd to your detailed review.

@ Rudrah
The delivery schedule has still not arrived. But they are expecting 24 cars to be invoiced to them this month and delivered to the dealership during the course of next week.
Regarding holi

have any idea about the exact name of the sunfilm.like "3M Charcoal 50"
i enquired in Chennai.3M sunfilm starts from Rs.3000
Garware is between 1500 to 2500.
But you have got it very cheaper.
I'll again keep touch with some other shops and get back.

I thought that was some kind of Microphone Reception device for the blue&Me system ( Voice Commands ) during the test drive. Even the Salesman was directing his voice towards the Rear View Mirror, so i presumed the above. Can you shed some light on This "9 Vents thing",Nehamit ?!?
Cheers

Dear aks karthik, here are the pics of vents under the front seats and center console in front. Both OVRM in E & E+ has defogger, which is controlled by the 'Max' function button on the control panel.

Press the 'Audio' button, scroll up/down though the options using the large four-direction (you'll know what I mean) button. Once you get to the fader or treble you can change them by moving left/right on the same button. There are some equalizer presets in the stereo, but I prefer to set my own. I hope this helps....

Can't tell you much about the FM option as I rarely use it. Even when I do, it's just memory 1 for me. Hope that helps. I haven't gone through the ICE manual, so I don't know if mine's in some other language as well. Will check tomorrow.

Thanks a lot for your help. I have done the settings as per my choice. I was referring to 'ALARM' being displayed when we go to memory button 2. We have six FM stations in Ahmedabad, so pre set is done. But what ever station I memorize on no.2, it plays that station only but display shows this 'ALARM' only. I tried to guesss on my own for settings of 'ALARM', but no success!
BTW, Congrats for your silver Linea. Its true that Linea looks awsome in any color. Your initial review has definitely helped me a lot and thanks for the same.

well, there might be language options in manaul as well as on ur music system also nehamit, which can be changed to english from its current one, and regarding that card, seems its for ordering extra pairs of keys for your car. Also one thing i want to know that why u were handed one remote key and another manual, as if u shall be having both the keys with remote, please give inputs.CHEERS!!!
