Karan & SV - the same. I usually don't prefer driving at night - so i find this to be less of an issue. But the headlights are definitely poor. I don't want o upgrade due to warranty issues.

guys,

yes, any modification to the lighting will void the warranty & this is confirmed by the dealer.

But i am wondering if i should go ahead and get it on, since my highway travelling is quite high. Please revert with suggestions.

By the way, would you guys let me know the FE you have been getting on the highway. My ANHC was showing an average of 23.2( best i have got till now) during my recent business tour to Madurai.

First of all luckily my night highway driving is not that much. Though i would like to upgrade the lighting. Gurus could you suggest me and nadan proper upgrade??

The max i have got in highway till date it is 18.2 km. City driving i get 11.5km/l mostly.

One more question to ANHC owners, how do you maintain the beige interiors? I mean the color theme is already dull and dust makes it worst!!

karan,

In the first place, i never ever open the windows of my car & drive. I remember to have it rolled down twice from the time i bought it. So hardly any dust and dirt in.

Other way is to periodically use the automobile cleaners and keep it stain free. Using a clean cloth plays a major role here.

Other MAJOR STEP I have taken is that kids & adults are not allowed to consume liquids inside the car at any cost, for this i do keep getting a mouthful from my kids, spouse and my friends :-)

That an amazing fuel average. How did you calculate ? tank to tank full or with display.
I am getting 10.5 to 12 in the city, never been to highways.

Regarding FE,

I am consistantly getting between 13.xx to 14.xx in city drives (using tank ful method) and on display it shows between 14.xx to 16.xx

the max i have got on the display till now is 19.8 during my Sept trip to Shimoga. This was recorded during the journey from Bangalore till Birur during morning 5 AM - 9 AM period and mostly with consistant speed of 70-80 KMPH in fourth gear.

regarding maintaining interiors, we follow

1. Always drive with AC on and windows closed
2. Never eat/drink inside the car
3. Once in two weeks get a vaccume clean done along with regular car wash at the nearby car wash station (this costs me 250 RS every 2 weeks).
4. never let my daughter keep the foot on the seat, but this can not be ensured 100%

but still it is difficult to keep the seats from any stains, there would be some stains due to sweat etc.

I plan to put the seat covers after one year of ownership.

hi starvega,

My suggestion to you would be to get the seat covers done immediately, since its beige and very very difficult to keep the seats stain and dirt free.

The first thing i did was to get the seat covers done.

do it at the earliest.

Update: Just did the 10,000km service, costed around Rs.2615/-. She will turn 1 this week. Overall very satisfied with the car. I had few scratches in front and back bumper , Sundaram Honda claimed they had to paint the whole bumper and gave me quote of Rs4,50/- per bumper. I shall post the pics shortly.

Have they already painted? It is possible to do a spot painting on palstic parts but not everyone is good at it.

ANHC had met with a minor accident few days back, causing a minor dent in the front Bumper. Honda's quote Rs. 4,500 for the bumper and Rs.5,000 for painting and minor scratches in the back bumper.

Total Amount : Rs. 11,500/- and i got insurance claim for around Rs. 9000/- .
Balance is tax and i had to shell out a bit.

That does not seem right! Isn't the insurance coverage limited to only 50% of the cost on the plastic parts?

Sad to hear about that Karan! Hope your baby is back to its mint condition now. The depreciation on bumpers as far as i know is quite steep.
