Fiesta 1.6 S

Hi Team.

Became a proud owner of 'Ocean' - Fiesta 1.6 S Blue, on 27th September 2009.

Booked on 14th Sep, PDIed on 26th Sep, took delivery on 27th Sept, drove to home town (250+ km) on 28th Sept, Registered there, got Registration plates from Utsav on 3 Oct, and our Ocean is back in Bangalore, with odo at 1040km. Have driven her sedately so far.

Got Scuff Plates and Floor mats free. Demanded and got a Sep 09 Manufactured Vehicle (Checked VIN to confirm it).

Got Oil and Filter Changed at 950km, and also clutch bleeding was done (clutch was/is moderately hard, and gear changes 0-1, 1-2 are still a little hard). She was already free revving, but became a little smoother post oil change.

Have been waxing her once a week, and wash her thrice a week (carrying soft water from my 5th floor apartment to the basement!).

Attaching few pictures from PDI, Delivery and the drive home. Will update with the detailed process later.

No issues, no grouses, no niggles. Touch Wood.

Am madly in love with her!

P.S. Thank you wife

Congratulations. You've got the perfect drivers car below 10 lakhs and that too in its stunning avatar.

It seems like T-bhp is the major source for Fiesta customers, a lot many have bought it in the past few months.

Enjoy your ownership and do post in regular updates.

I can imagine how much you love your car after reading this. Go easy on the wax, waxing every week is not necessary IMO

Thanks guys.

Special thanks to frank, shaju, raamki, jerish, -GS-, yajaman and others who posted their honest reviews of Fiesta. You guys helped in my decision.

@mobike: Ex Showroom price was 6.54L , Insurance from Bajaj was 15990, rest was RTO expenses, which dad handled and hence the drive to the hometown. I have not opted for any extra Warranty from the Dealer, yet.

@frank: The oil coming out looked clean enough, nor could my wife find any metal slivers which I had said would be there . Also the oil filter in the machine was new to the Servicing guys, they said it was of a new design, and ran around a bit to get a perfect match. But I slept well that night knowing that if the Oil change was needed, I'd done it. A free wash, and a general check-up just sweetened the experience. It was also good to meetup with the service Manager, as we had missed him having taken delivery on a holiday.

@Milecruncher: Acceleration feels on par with my 180cc bike And FE till date is 12KMPL with city-highway at 50-50%

@beejay: Nothing feels too good or too much for Ocean right now! But I expect waxing frequency to wane to once a month soon.

P.S. Another Black S was delivered on the same day as mine. Looked stunning. You can see it in one of the pics.

Congrats. Real Attention grabber on the road. I wish Ford could make this already exciting car more exciting my adding turn indicators in ORVMs, touchscreen entertainment systems and satnavs like in Cedia, etc. It would then become highly irresistible car.
