Year end offers are something one would not want to miss anyway, so grab the best offers that come your way. To get rid of 2009 from the documents, get the registration done in Jan. Somewhere I read, you wanted to buy an SXI for soft suspension and add sports kit from S, leather seats from ZXI etc. All the best !
Shaju, did we, by mistake, interchange ZXi and SXi?

More specifically, if the dealer has been invoiced at the higher price by Ford, the customer pays the hgher price.

@ruchirtnt, you cannot hope to get a better deal in Jan than in Dec. Make the booking in Dec. Get the final price in writing. Register in 2010. You would be left holding an egg in your hands if the 50K offer is withdrawn and you are slapped with a 20K price increase instead.

i had visited the dealer today itself and he himself asked me to do the booking in the 1st week of january 2010 for a 2010 VIN number, and the discount of 50K will hold the same as it is a fixed corporate discount in which my company Tata is also entitled.

dear fiestians, i got hold of a fiesta SXI today, and found that the rear leg space is a bit of a worry for my height of 6'3" and all my members are tall enough, but i do not want to loose this beautiful car.
my brother is suggesting for SX4 ZXI which has a better rear leg room space.

If you meant the leather seats, I am talking about the new ZXI here. Its the same thread and leather used for the seats...and the same 'lungi' wallah tailor too !! I think they stitch the SXI seats facing North and ZXI seats facing South !!

The Fiesta rear is going to be an issue with that kind of height. Having sat in an SX4, I can say that it would be an issue with the SX4 as well. In that price range, I find that the Jazz has the best leg space. Are you feeling Jazz-y?

If only the front seats are going to be occupied most of the time, then you can ignore the rear seat space and go ahead with the Fiesta.

+1 to that. Same issue with most C segment cars.

Methinks the Indigo XL and Manza would provide the best leg space, but they may not fall into the category of driver's cars. Even the NHC had oodles of space at the rear, but I am not sure about the ANHC.

ANHC has got a plenty of leg room even for my height people but and @Gilead you are right that i do have to do most of the running in drivers seat only, the only concern is i am buying the car for at least 5 -6 years so want a vehicle to be completely satisfactory

I love the Ford cars. But always I was scared by my friend about the high cost maintenance. Is it really true that the spares are expensive and not available out side.Any experienced people can give me some idea.

The expensive ford spares/maintenance story is a myth, there was thread were the spares prices were compared and fiesta was the lowest of the lot.

spares and after sales service is not at all an issue, it is equally good in Ford as well.

JAZZ A Big No, first of all i am looking for a sedan and secondly the Jazz is not at all worth the money spent, i wonder how come the people are buying this car!

Then its better to go for CIty instead of JAzz

Frankly I did not find any issues with the rear leg space since my family is compartively tall. However driver seat and co-passenger seat adjustments are enough to accomodate my parents, wife & son. Actually this was one of the reasons for choosing Ford Fiesta.
Tata Manza has oodles of rear leg room but frankly your wouldn't sleep there, would you? Even Chevrolet Aveo had good rear leg room but definitely not Jazz.

So it looks like that all car manufacturers (c segment) are only taking care of the front seat leg room and not the rear ones ?
But one thing we must consider is that - we are not going to use these
cars for Taxi service so that you have always passengers sitting in the rear seat.
This subject is similar thing like many would be car buyers are talking about 'resale value of the car'. This is unwanted worry as nobody is going to sell the car in one or
two months time. You will not get a car with 100% satisfaction to all. Different people/different liking so important is that we look into the total performance of the car. The driving pleasure in Fiesta is only known to people who have driven the car for some time (just one TD may not be sufficient?) ! So thats the reason we call her as Drivers Car.

The ANHC has marginally better leg space than the Fiesta. But will you pay 1.5-2 lacs more for an extra inch?

So, seems that these tailors knew 'vasthu' hence stitching each car variants in different directions

Correct, that is the reason Fiesta is considered more of a VFM than the CIty,
