Thats what we all wondering - how come Zxi got a grey black leather
interior?
If I am correct Fiesta EXi,ZXi and SXI are all beige interiors and only S has got different colour.

Any further updates on the Fiesta owner summary/list? Not seen lately. Am going to join the Fiesta club shortly - Moondust Silver SXI.

I saw a 1.6 ZXi limited edition display model today in the showroom at Chennai Ford - their interiors are definitely not the same color as the 1.6 SXi...at least it is a shade or two darker.

yes, they are describing it (1.6ZXi) as Ebony & camel.
Same description was there when I bought my 1.6ZXi and you have seen the photographs of my car which is very much looks as beige?

1.6ZXi Leather - From the Ad photographs the interior looked like dark beige and
no resemblance of grey black colour?

@nair sir is right. EXi, ZXi and SXi all have beige interiors.

The newly introduced ZXi leather limited edition seems to have beige interiors too(slightly darker than the usual colors).

So, this grey/ black ones we are talking about are either dealer add on's to make believe the regular ZXi model as ZXi leather limited edition model. Have you tried checking the other differences like the metallic accent on the trims and the cubic finish 2-DIN music system?

I just reconfirmed with the dealer. Beige interiors are available but not on ZXI limited edition. They do come however on regular ZXI models. However, these are not leather interiors. Thats what i the dealer said and was evident through the models available there.

Yes, Vinayak Ford are the only dealers in Indore. Only other city in MP to have a Ford dealer is bhopal which is like 180 km's from here. Another option which i am going to try as well and get in touch with the dealer their. Bringing the car from bhopal is not an issue but i am just wondering if getting it serviced later at the dealer in indore and also getting it registered here would be a problem.

1. Discount in the month of December is maximum and you wont find the same in Jan 2010 and that too if you are planning for Leather ZXI
2. Colors are always subject to availability, if the dealer is saying not available there are 90% chances that the color is really no there
3. ZXI do not comes with beige combination, it is only available with SXI
4. Cash discount is controlled by Ford only, if it is a individual discount then the dealer has got some margin which he gives in form of freebies, but if you go for Corporate discount then the dealer wont give a single penny as it will be a "Special Billing"
I spoke to the dealer about the discount and they say it's not Ford who is controlling the offer rather the Dealer referring to "conditions apply text". They are giving discount on OTR and not Ex-Showroom. Simply denied that ZXI limited edition comes in beige leather interiors.

I infact was about to make a purchase end of last month but dealer advised to wait for a few days to get a good offer which was a good advice.

Hi Folks,
Booked a 1.6 Zxi Limited Edition ''Morello' colour - pretty much the same
as an Sxi but for the alloys, wood finish on the dashboard and some minor touches. Exchanged my dear old Indica Turbo for a fiesta because of the awesome discounts. Nice to see this thread and I 'll refer back with whatever doubts when I get the car. I expect to get it this Friday or early next week.

Can someone tell me what mileage the 1.6 Zxi returns when driven at 130-140 speeds on the highways? I used to drive my Indica Turbo easily at those speeds and it used to be a lot of fun. Would still get about 15.5 inspite of that in my old car.I'm looking forward to a lot more
in terms of driving pleasure from my Fiesta but since the 1.6 petrol is not known to be mileage-friendly, thought I'd ask this of the knowledgeable guys of this thread. The showroom guy says the mileage is 14-15 with high speeds on the highways.

I'll have more questions (and answers)as I get my hands dirty with the car.
I've read about 10 pages of the thread so far, hope to learn a lot more by the time I'm all done.

Differences that I noticed between the Sxi and Zxi LE (Limited Edition)
SXi has these..
1.Airbags
2.Woodpanelled finish on the Sxi
3.The Art-leather seat covers are beige as opposed to the LE which has a greyish finish to these - but I preferred that.
4.Alloy wheels.

I figured it wasn't worth paying the extra 1L+ for this difference hence went for the Zxi LE.
Metro ford in Bangalore had 11 of these cars. The Ad came up on Friday Dec.4 and the cars were all sold by Dec 7!
Looks like I made a good decision.

Overall though I went to both Lathangi and Metro and found the Lathangi staff much better and more courteous. The only reason
I am taking the car from Metro is that they had the Morello -coloured Limited Edition Zxi which I was very particular about.

Again , wonderful thread and thanks to nairrk for starting it! Hope to be around here a lot more and learn a lot more about this
wonderful car.I hope to keep it for the good part of 8-10 years as buying any bigger car does not make sense in Bangalore.
Cheers,
rpmx1000

Another update guys. Just received an email from the dealer with the quote. Dealer has quoted INR 6,88,000/- OTR. I can get additional 10K discount if i sell my existing car as a exchange bonus. I am free to sell my existing car anywhere though, they simply need documentation to support the sale has?

Only two color choices in ZXI limited edition as well as SXI with White and silver. I do like white as well, but i really wanted to see Fiesta in both black and Morello with these new interiors before making a decision. To me white exteriors don't go that well with these grey/black interiors. I am in no hurry as such but if thats going to be the case after 20-30 days as well i can go for the white now. Does anyone here owns a Morello or black with these new interiors?

Since i barely drive outside city i am more interested in ZXI as airbags is something i can live without. I do plan to upgrade to alloys for looks though and i am aware that everything else can be added later on.

I intend to make a booking tomorrow or day after.

Same situation in Chennai. Myself ruled out of Fiesta club due to colour limitations.

The discounted price is only valid on the available stock and not on future ones.

If you can get an RTO agent or go through a driving school, registering the car on your own should not be a problem. Getting the car serviced at the Indore service center would not be an issue either.

This is false info. The ZXi limited edition is leather and beige. It's even called the ZXI Leather in the Ford site. I think he is trying to sell an old ZXi which used to come with grey interiors and non-leather. But if he has only that in stock, then you are stuck with it I guess.

13-14 sounds about right to me.

The SXi also has some chrome bits, but not all like it. So did you TD the 1.6S at all?

These interiors (grey/black) certainly are leather only. The models they have available here do not have beige leather zxi limited edition.

I do not think i will need airbags in city when i am driving in bumper to bumper traffic at below 40kms/hr speed. Even on highways i am most comfortable at speeds below 90kms/hr. I may be wrong here, but thats my thinking.

Okay, maybe ZXi Ltd Edition also comes with grey interiors with leather. Does it have the wooden finish center console like the Sxi at least?

Someone else could ram into you head on in city driving as well. But spending on airbags is a personal choice. If you can afford it, you should buy it.
