Do you plan to go for the OE Ritz wheel covers or are you gonna go for some other design?

CNG actually works out far cheaper in comparison to Diesel. The main reasons for not Buying the Diesel LDI are:

01. Diesel costs Rs 35.5 per liter & CNG costs around Rs 20/- per kilogram.

02. Price difference between LXI & LDI is Rs. 90,000/-, Cost of a High Quality CNG kit Rs 35,000. It still works out cheaper by Rs 55,000/-.

03. They both give roughly the same mileage.

04. Widespread availability of CNG in the NCR region, this is where my Ritz will spend more than 95% of its time.

05. I have had a good experience with CNG in the past, this one would be my 5th car on CNG.

06. The new CNG kits come with an additional module called 'Advancer', which basically ensures that there is only a negligible performance difference between Petrol & CNG.

07. For just in case situations, the ability to switch over to petrol from CNG. In fact it can be done on the fly.

08. CNG has an Octane Rating of around 130, whereas normal petrol has an octane rating of 87.

09. Its much better for the environment in comparison to both petrol & diesel.

10. Contrary to popular belief CNG actually increases Engine Life and reduces wear & tear in the long run.

I'll be buying any decent looking OE Wheel Caps which are available at the local tire shop.

Many people go in for alloys just after buying the car, so these OE wheel caps are available for as little as Rs 300/-, This when compared to what the dealer is offering at around 1500/- sounds sweet.

Hey, Congrats for your new Ritz... White looks good

I have a doubt, wouldn't it void your warranty if you upgrade to CNG..??

@maglev : I also own a Ritz Lxi. Wanted to ask you regarding the caps. Are you planning to get your rims painted black before installing the caps, if so how much does it cost around?

Thanks Vigsom!!

CNG Actually increases engine life because the use of CNG serves to extend life of lubricating oil, as CNG will not contaminate or dilute crankcase oil.

Fouling of plugs is eliminated and plug life is enhanced as CNG does not contain any lead.

CNG enters the engine as gas while petrol comes in as spray or mist which washes down the lubricating oil from the piston ring area to raise the rate of engine depreciation.

All of this reduces maintenance costs and as a result engine life goes up.

Thanks Mvaidy!! If I get the kit installed from a private installer then yes it will void my warranty. On the other hand, if I go in for the CNG kit directly from my Maruti dealer then it does not void my warranty in any way.

Why don't you borrow and check how they look on the Ritz. I always thought them to be plastic stuff till the time I held them that day.
