How much did the sun visor and the rear view mirror cost ?

The swift`s dash is kinda dull so this was needed to improve the overall look.
Am not an audiophile so this was more important for me.
The day-night rear-view mirror is 600 bucks and the passenger side sunvisor with vanity mirror is 500 bucks. These are from MSM in Chennai - so genuine stuff - but I now feel I could have gone aftermarket and saved probably 30% of this money.

The rear-view mirror at least - IMHO - is very very useful - particularly since I do a fair bit of highway driving each day (its an NH - highway only in namesake and in having lots of heavy vehicles around, not in speed unfortunately, hardly ever get the opportunity for even 3rd gear).

Wifey feels the vanity mirror in the sunvisor is a bit more useful than the steering or the gear-shift

+1 on the drab-looking dash mate. Even I'm trying to pep that up a bit - maybe stickers and stuff when I get some time.

I'll found out the aftermarket prices ,need to get both of these.

^ Thanks ,the film is garware and the cost was around Rs 500 for the front windscreen.
Visibility is kinda low at night but in the day it saves me from Delhi`s scorching heat so its ok.

What is the visibility percentage of the film on front windscreen? I was planning to get the same done on front windscreen but the thought that I wouldn't be able to see the nature in its true colors when driving (unless I roll down the windows or make a stop) didn't let me do it.

I'm sure there'd be films for front windscreens that have 100% visibility but are heat resistant. From the pics I guess your car has the dark one on the front too.

The front windscreen's film visibility is 20% ,I know its low but I like how it looks and I get my privacy too.
You can go for high end brands like Lumar/V kool if you want good heat resistant fully transparent tints.

Hi faithless_1984,

Congrats for your new Swift! Just 1 question here: Does the LDi come with body colored door handles and mirrors or have you got them fitted afterwards? I thought it's the VDi that comes with body colored mirrors, while the LDi makes do with black ones.

^^ LXi, VXi and LDi do not come with body colored door handles and mirrors. They come only with ZXi and VDi.

+1 on the dull dashboard from me. A white Swift DDiS is a beautiful sight to behold. What with those lovely curves and the "ready for all" look with new shoes (meaty tires & alloys). Congrats faithless_1984! You have made us (Older owners of the Swift) proud by sticking out for her even with such numerous options at your disposal. Reaffirms the fact that you don't go wrong with the Swift!

As for the Dash, can we get some leather material on it so as to disguise the bland design? I should enquire with Koyas when I am down in Coimbatore next. Maybe some of the Coimbatore guys can be of assistance here.

Cheers
Champion!

Nice car, and good choice of LDi. Guess the only things left out now are Power windows and Alloys.

Love to see some interior seats. Any idea about getting art leather seat covers?

And yes, can't wait for the Mods to be made.

@wag7 - Thanks and iv already mentioned the details regarding the door handles and the ORVM`s in my previous posts.

@Champion - Thanks Champ and yes now there are many options in the hatchback segment but i really wanted a white swift in my garage and am glad i made this decision.

@theArun - Thanks Arun ,recently got power windows installed in the front doors ,alloys maybe after 5-6 months.
