Finally the name of the car is revealed. Congrats NC for the ANHC AT. Enjoy the paddle shift experience.
My guess for the color would be white.

After going through all the colors that the ANHC is available in - we decided that it would be white or silver. But as we watched the other ANHC's on the roads in different shades - the differences in opinion cropped up.

I was still keen on either white or silver but the better half had already got the golden beige and grey into the picture. After extensive discussions and arguments, the 1st color to be eliminated was (surprise surprise) ....the Tafeta White.

Round 1 - Better half

After that a huge discussion and argument later - out went the Grey.

Round 2 - to me.

That left the Silver and Golden in contention. The debate was furious and lasted a couple of days. It also involved spotting every possible golden/silver colored city on the road and having a discussion about the way it looked - front, back, sides..et all.

The final color to be eliminated was - Golden Beige

Silver won.

I was going to get a Abaster Silver ANHC V AT.

I had never imagined that my search would end with the ANHC - I always considered it as an also ran in the race - but it emerged triumphant.

Next up - Booking, Loan, Wait and Delivery.

Congrats NC for the ANHC. Awaiting the rest of the story.

Sid, these pictures are killer, seems you love these alloys quite a lot. Have seen these on the other thread as well. Wonder if Honda is planning to sell these alloys in India.

That is another long story....someday I shall tell you.

Anyways back to the story.

I called the guy at Linkway and asked him to come over immediately to collect the cheque and sort out the formalities. He came over and I paid him a cheque of 2.92 L as DP. Linkway offered me a loan amount of 8.85 at 9.25% for 3 years. I decided to speak to Kotak Bank and get the rates myself. The deal I got was -

Free insurance for 1st year
Parking sensors (front & back) with mirror display
Underbody anti-rust treatment
Mirror locks.

I insisted on a car that came shod with Michellin XM1 tyres and it was confirmed that I would get a car with Michellin tyres.

I agreed and the booking was done on 17th May 2010. Delivery promised in 4 days after disbursement of loan.

Spoke to Kotak the next day - they offered me a loan @ 8% for 3 years. I asked them to come over and finish with the process. They came on 19th and finished the formalities. I asked them to speed up the process as I wanted delivery on 28th May 2010.

Loan approved on 20th May and I was promised that it would be transferred to the dealer's account on Saturday the 22nd. That did not happen. I wanted to check the car at the yard and was directed to Vasai. I went there and started searching for my car in the stock yard.

Finally I found the car..and was speechless.

The guys at the yard told me they were not informed of my visit and hence could not wash the car. Also the day being Friday they were facing a power shut down. So I just checked the car inside and walked out.

Due to some e-transfer issues - the loan was still not reflecting at the dealers but my file was forwarded for registration. The transfer took another couple of days and finally the dealer confirmed on Wednesday. But getting the car delivered on Friday was out of the question.

Thursday being a bank holiday - the car was registered on Friday.

Monday morning I called up the SP and he tells me it is not possible to deliver the car today since it is at their Chandivali showroom and it will come to Malad and the accessories will be fitted - that is going to take time. Since I stay near Chandivali - I told them in no uncertain terms that I was going to take delivery today from the Chandivali showroom by evening. If they were not ready with the accessories, they would have to pay me cash on the spot.

The threat worked and I was promised delivery by 7 pm. I called up Dippy and tied up with him - he was to accompany us to take delivery.

Today was the day.

Congratulations Normal_crazy, welcome to ANHC club.

Drive safe and have fun.

Just one query, from VIN you posted it's made in FEB, 2010. Could have grabbed few more freebies from them

Thanks for the wishes fellows.

Yep - the car has paddle shifts. And Mobike - from vRS to ANHC is a another story that I cannot reveal here.

And yes I checked the VIN immediately when I was informed of the same but it's fine - the feel good factor with the SP was more important than a few freebies.

You should have taken Sam along to the stockyard. I remember his post about how the cars are in the stockyard in his Superb vaala thread.

hey, N_C congrats, your long running saga, finally ended.

Nice choice, however I do applaud your patience in this venture. Must have been a while to get around things, but then things work out great in the end.

Kudos on your patience.
Cheers
