Gentlemen can we set up another thread for delivery issues and others relating to the FIesta? I thought this was a testdrive/initial impressions thread - if it is, we're deviating from the topic.

Just a suggestion...maybe the mods can actually move the delivery issues to the new thread.

Glad I bought it. 2000 KM REPORT.

Well heres the 2000 KM report on the Fiesta 1.4 (Paprica Red) Though I would have named it CLUB Red instead.
THATS MY GURL.
FE: City 11-12 (I tend to be lead footed)
Highways: 15 KMPL

Highlights:
Smooth drive, decent acceleration(well….), roomy (for my family of 5, but usually its just the 2 of is driving), excellent brakes (even without ABS and EBD), fantastic lights, good aircon, Rock solid at 170 KMPH on Express way & NO UNDUE NOISES YET.

Downside:
FE is not as promised (but its ok by me), Downshifts are a pain sometimes (gears don’t engage well- no definite engagement feedback for the reverse gear), have a feeling that the car might bottom out if loaded.

First Servicing done at 1500. No problems detected.

To sum it up, I am in love with it and I am glad I bought it, especially this colour, as there aren’t any on road yet and it looks chick at night

fiesta 1.4 flare

hey guys
We got our fiesta 1.4 FLARE(orange) on the 4 th of JAN and the car is great . Feels solid and safe at high speeds ( done 150 ). Brakes are greast and realy bite without locking.
The colour flare looks much better on the 1.4 petrol than the other models cos it gives the front a very aggressive look with the twin pod lamps showing clearly ...unlike the other models where u have fully chrome lamps.
Gear shifts feel +ve except for the rear...the manual tells u to keep the clutch depressed for 3 secs before shifting to rear....does solve the problem but dunno why??
done about 1600 kms so far and returns 10~12 with a lot of aggressive driving and AC on all the time. Had problems with the bonnet opening lever (very tight) sorted out in the first service.

Will post more details later on....

Thanks dude.
Though I had a torrid time getting that colour. Wrote to Ford Global, Ford India and everyone who was involved with the Ford. Had to really push my weight around (for what its worth - yeah right ) to get those guys to agree that if they put it on the brochures they better make sure that its avaliable. But the wait was worth it and i got it in 25 days flat, HAR HAR HAR!
On the whole they were very cooperative and polite, and I extremely satisfied with the whole experience. Cant say this often enough, but I am in love with my car.
