But since the convoy was already behind schedule everybody went to see Sajjangad, chit chatting en route. Some views while we were climbing the stairs to Sajjangad. Probably its the clouds that's rising from the ground -don't know now  We stopped at Thoseghar parking lot by 13:30 Prime minister's village plans.  Wonderful - some seeds growing on leaf! I met Turboholic (Superman) here      The water falls down to a small pool before continuing on to the main falls  We went down there too.   Some were posing there with the falls  Grassy path to the pool    Stopped by to enjoy this small beauty  We were done with the falls and reached the parking lot by 15:00. Nearby dhabha gave us some authentic local Maharashtrian food. We left to Chalkewadi wind mill farm by 15:45 continued.... |

| Re: Kaas - The Valley of Flowers Day 03, 25th September 2010 Kaas We stopped by a Hurda (Green Jawar) farm      The tunnel towards Satara   We reached Satara by 17:00, and after some sweet shopping from Raj Purohit Sweet shop we started towards Bangalore by 17:15. Starvegabond parked the car to my advantage that I need not get out in the pouring rain to click. He has a very photographic eye, and often without me telling anything, he stops the car at vantage points keeping my window side clear to click. How much I enjoyed my freedom with out the tension to drive, I cannot describe in words. After all I am learning to understand that a TBHPian need not drive always to enjoy a trip, but can also have equal or more fun by just joining another TBHPian of the same frequency in his drive. I wanted vada paav from MC Donalds, or Pizzas from US pizza in Belgaum, and like the lot. Starvegabond and family were laughing at my small desires and promised to get vada paav for me. But unfortunately Vada paav was not easy to find en route. Meanwhile we had very less action on the highway. Disciplined trucker  Dream project - GQ Indeed, thanks to conception and implementation of GQ, we are able to explore our beautiful country on roads. Thank you.  By 17:45 we were 690Km away from Bangalore  Taswade Pyramid Toll Plaza  Me and Starvegabond scared these truckers to move - not by flashing Hellas or honking high decibel horns, but by threatening them with Banana bombs. We showed them that we will put banana peels under their tyres and they'll skid and fall, better to leave us some way   Another version of Mein Hoon na - Hum hain na...  It slowly became dark...  Starvegabond put some good Marathi songs while driving back. I could not understand any thing, but certain words rhymed like water vapour, and I named it as the water vapour song. The car was filled with laughter and it was the same all the way till Bangalore. By 20:30 we reached Hotel Sankam at Belgaum. Had dinner and left towards Bangalore by 21:30. We eventually reached Starvegabond's place by 04:15 on 26.09.2010. I took my Civvy and reached home by 05:15. It was a Sunday, and I crashed to my bed to have some great dreams of the beautiful flowers at Kaas. The END And almost a year later I got my Vada Paav in June 2011 when I visited Starvegabond's place. Nature indeed is very beautiful! Its such a great blessing that we are still able to see the beauty. Let us do our bit to protect them for our future generations. |
