@ampere, thanks for the reference to "Nijaguna Residency" in Chamrajanagar. We had lunch there while returning from Masinagudi. Food was of good quality but a bit spicy for my taste. But a good option nevertheless.

One thing surprised me in this route: in couple of places before and around Kollegal, NH206 became a single lane road for a very short stretch. Except this, this route was really good. It took us about 5 and half hours of driving time from Masinagudi to my home in Bangalore.

We had a breakfast at nijaguna in last week. Food was very good. This is the only one restaurent while travelling from dimbam to kollegal.
