Sorry folks this is the first time I m uploading snaps on this forum. Need some guidance on posting those with captions.

They are in order as follows;
1.Waterfalls on the way towards Ratangad.
2.another waterfall somewhere on the way.
3.Water from dam being released in river.
4.Another view of the waterfall.
6.Bhadardara dam filled to the brim.
7&8. famous Randha waterfall near the dam.

in which month last year you had taken those pics?

@Ashish: This was in last year September,during Ganesh festival time.
I suggest, if you are going for Ratangad, try to go in september last week. We could not climb the Ratangad becuase of heavy rains. So check for the weather updates in that area.It rains cats and dogs there.

For Bhadardara, Anytime after august in fine.

i thought of those pics taken in august.

We will go there when dam overflow start in this season [may be in august].
We may trek the Ratangad fort if weather permits.

@Ashish: In fact u can go there anytime after damn is full. Looking at the current monsoon progress,I don't see it happening anytime before September. Cross your fingers for more rains.

Hi MX6,

Very interesting thread! I didn't know there were such lovely places around Pune. Have been to Pune only once for a brief visit (1987 - wedding of wife's brother). Time to make a trip I guess!

Have just come up to page 7, and I want to make a comment here. Your pic of the Ikon (post #101) is classic and it looks like a company brochure photo.

The next is post #105. Very pretty compositions, and no visible distortion at all. You have put the 10mm to excellent use, congratulations!

Will go through this thread slowly, there's a lot to absorb.

You are welcome Damu to Pune. Check with Starvega and Laluks. They are planning a drive to Kaas in Sept to join some of us guys to see the flowers in full bloom!

Thanks for your kind appreciation. I've not been able to use my DSLR much since buying this ikon! So once in a while, I do get in to a frenzy to capture some shots like those. Wait till you see my 10 mm in play in Omkareshwar!

Sept is Kaas time. Also Ratangad trek during heavy rains might not be safe.
