May be the Ikon runs on a different fuel - another word which can describe it 'vapour'......(Just joking, r.r - he'll kill me!)

Anybody guessed the ingredient so far?

Hi MX6, would love to join you all for the Malshej and Kaas trip.
I would be monitoring this thread but do drop a PM once dates are finalized.

Marleshwar

Anybody planning trip to Marleshwar this monsoon? I happened to go there a few years back, a completely unplanned trip. Was mesmerized by the location.
In true sense, a heaven on earth.

MX6, Since this is a collaborative travelogue, request permission to post my experiences and photos. Thanks

Ashish Bhau, please don't be sorry - I think many, including me, enjoyed the pictures.

2. As usual, Thanks for the update. My geography is really weak, and I don't keep a written record of the places we visit - just posting from memory.

3. That's a real goof up, on my part. Yes, took so many pictures. Selecting them and resizing, compressing was tedious. Good that we have someone like you to rectify the errors. (Seriously, even in office in my work I do one or two minor errors - which cause lot of embarrassment later! Note the operative word here 'minor')

MX6, I am almost done only three / four more lots to go.

Any guesses to yesterday's questions, any one.

Now look at this tree - these are all freshly sprouted leaves and they are brown in colour .

Any idea which tree is this? I think now I should look forward to botany experts browsing these posts now!

Same picture.

Cropped and used Microsoft Picture Manager to enhance the color.

More trees...

More tender leaves..

One touched up and the other as it is... But neither is close to the real thing..

There are plenty of such varieties, and it strikes that you these vibrant colours are more beautiful than the greenery in rain...

More work of art by nature...

And, more shades and shapes... all are welcome to present their photo enhancement software skills using these pictures to improve the shades

Try to put these up as wall paper or screen saver on your PC and watch the reaction of others in office! (Always happens to me - and the usual question where was the trip to?!)

And my personal favourite

This is untouched....

My 'evergreen' favourite picture.

Magnificent Maharashtra - The Mahalog!-100_0268a1.jpg

This is my punch line, after people view these pictures - 'Guess where they are taken'.

Very few people guessed it right as Mulshi / Tamhini ghat. Others have dreamt up exotic locations and that I have downloaded it from the net.

Only the few - who know how extensively we travel - actually believe that we have actually clicked these!

The point I am trying to make is simple - whatever be the season / time, there are plenty of things to enjoy at these places. Feel like getting away from the humdrum of your work - head here to unwind

Good bye...

We are close to civilisation now - from Pirangut to Pune you start facing the traffic and the rush of the vehicles who have ventured up to Mulshi.

We take a tea break and capture this..

Magnificent Maharashtra - The Mahalog!-100_0232.jpg

End of journey.

I could have presented it better - but I was just keying in my thoughts and pictures as and when time permitted

I am awaiting the answers to my questions.

Now, other can take the thread ahead...

In the third pic, the red arrow probably shows the route that you are talking about. Please confirm. I believe, we had taken a route much lower and closer to the stream, which took us downwards.
@SDP - Yes thats the one, We went in last September and followed the stream to the waterfalls. We were very surprised to see a few fully clothed picnickers (We were in our swimming trunks ) Upon enquiring they told us about the foot path. Since we swam and walked to the waterfalls could not click any snaps. You do take the cam when you do go there.
