Sorry for the delay people..couldn't log in due to all the upgrades going on at team-bhp and some connectivity issues.

Day 2 continued..

After spending a few hours in Bomdila and of course having some delicious momos we headed out towards Nameri NP. We checked into our resort (Nameri Eco camp) and made plans for the final day of our trip..

bad roads enroute to Nameri NP

Great going Robi. Waiting for more and I'll try to go to Arunachal this time I go there. I've been to Sijusa (near Tipi but in Assam) long time back during my college days for a picnic. It was such a lovely place. And there are hundreds of similar places very much unknown and untouched. Would love to do a month long trip just to see the places around.

Me too will be there by mid of January. But not sure about my plans as how long I'll be in Guwahati. Would love to meet some fellow BHPian's there.

I am speechless.Ekdum awesome.really beautiful snaps.
One really wonders after watching these pictures, how little we have seen of our beautiful country. This is already in my wishlist. Insha Allah will try and go there at least once in this lifetime. Thanks for the pics again. Could you please let me know which camera did you use.

Some more marketing for a Tawang trip

I have been all over India. If you like mountainous terrain, you can do Leh. But try China border from Tawang. Not very far from there as you can see in one of the photos. The beauty there is very different and unique in its own way.

Do not miss the camera friendly Yaks on the climb down from Sela pass.

The drive is unique in the sense that while you are sweating in Bhalukpong in a tee, in a few hours you are surrounded by snow @ Sela.

Happy motoring.

Thank you all for the compliments..

@Shubhendra, Sami: Most of the pics are with a Canon 500D while a few with a Canon PnS..IXUS 850 IS to be precise

@hkborah: Thanks for the tips..you seem to have some great photos. It would be great if you start a travelogue about your adventures in Tawang. On a side note, do blur out the registration plates in your pics.

Anyway continuing with my travelogue..

Day 3 (Unfortunately..the last day of an awesome trip)

I tried to wake up early to catch the sunrise but I was so darn tired by the previous day's driving that I could manage to get out of bed by 8am only. After some breakfast I got the permits for trekking from the forest ranger's office. We were assigned to armed guards for our trek..

some pictures as usual..

A trip to Arunachal Pradesh - Nameri National Park-6.dscf0032.jpgSome more from an older trip.

At Nameri Eco camp, loads of things to do - like whitewater picnic, whitewater rafting (kind of). Note the last pic - no option but to dry our behinds before getting into the car.

@robi- Sure will blur the plates next time. Slipped my mind this time.

ok..i suppose hkborah has already posted pics regarding the various activities at Nameri eco camp so i won't elaborate anymore or post pics regarding these.

Anyway..a lot of you might me thinking that the thread says Nameri NP but there ain't any wildlife shots.

Well the thing is, Nameri is a bird (the feathered kind) watchers paradise and I didn't have a decent zoom lens with me. So most of the birds I saw were beyond the reach of my camera. In a couple of pics below you'll know what I mean. Besides I had very little time in Nameri so the time we had to choose for birding/trekking wasn't appropriate at all. I was disappointed, more so because I saw a couple of Europeans and some guys from Mumbai get some splendid bird shots with their super telephoto lenses.

However, some common creatures came to my rescue and posed within the reach of my camera..

the birds shots..totally out of range..but look at the sheer number of birds in the first pic
