I was there today. we decided to go on bikes, left at 04:00 AM, reached at 05:30 AM. My only advice, if you really want to peace out on the hills, DO NOT go on weekends/holidays.

I'm so glad to know that my photos have inspired so many to go there again, and many more to go there for the first time. I'm honored!

I'm planning to go there once again one of these weekends, but this time on my old work-horse, the Pulsar-150. Gotta feel the wind on my face, you see!

Amazing pics! Some of the best I've seen of Nandi Betta.

Nandi, personally, means a tough 52min+ climb these days. There's no other major climbs for cyclists around. In fact, if any of you guys want to give it a shot, we can try and organize a 'taste of climbing' effort from the base upwards. Of course, you guys can help with chipping in with a few SUVs etc. What say ?

I did this trip early this month on my Pulsar-150 with my wife. It is indeed one of a kind experience. I will try to post some pictures in next couple of days. One more point to consider is the view from there is as good even during sunset time. i had been there during sunset 4 months ago and got some beautiful views. I will definitely post some pictures of both sunrise and sunset in next couple of days.

Great pics, Aquarian! Especially the spaceship cloud one. I seriously think that was indeed an alien spaceship visiting Nandi Hills to catch the sunrise! :P

Can someone tell me if there are any restaurants up there in the Nandi hills for lunch/breakfast?

There is a Nandi restaurant which is pure veg. It's palatable. It's cheap. I think that's enough!

There is also a KSTDC restaurant which is non veg and has an amazing view from the tables which are next to the floor length windows. But it's almost always crowded and you need to wait.

I'm not sure whether these places serve breakfast though.

I saw that the KSTDC restaurant was closed in the morning, but there were a couple of stalls (located between the KSTDC restaurant and the temple) were serving tea/coffee and simple breakfast like sandwiches.

There is a KSTDC restaurant along with 2 private restaurants. The KSTDC one is not open for breakfast, but the other 2 serve breakfast and lunch.
