Excellent photos.

I especially liked the ones with the birds flying. For a moment, it reminded me of the pictures in Richard Bach's Jonathan Livingstone Seagull.

A round of applause for you.

A Very good place it seems. Looking forward to go on a weekend.
However, the rates are kind of out of my budget, since I will be going there with friends. Have few queries..

-> Can I book a cheaper resort and go to the places mentioned by you>
-> The place which you have clicked on coracle, is it inside the resort? or the safari?

I am actually amazed by the river pics. My main motive to go there would be the river, bathing, swimming, fishing etc. Your suggestions are awaited eagerly
Well, I am not aware of any cheaper resort towards Kabini side, I think they take premium because of the Kabini River. Most of the resort are on the bank of river and they all start from same range in terms of cost.

Thanks @sbraj for your appreciation. Well, even my favorites pics are birds in flight. I took those pics while I was on a coracle ride arranged by the Resort and it was very tough to take that pics as I was sitting flat on the coracle and cannot turn or move around in it.

Wish you could get close ups of those stone cold eyes. The leopard's eyes are the attraction in them. Absolutely cold blooded!

Vinay,
Magnificent sightings and captures, especially of the heron in flight...very good panning of the subject, I need to learn this. That was the most brazen leopard, not at all human or camera shy. Where were the tuskers? Had they migrated to Madumalai?

Thanks for sharing, I will look at it in detail during the day.
Regards,

MX6,
The cold stare for you. But this was not in the wild like, Vinay's pics.
I shot it at Hyderabad zoo at a distance of about 50 feet, of course a mesh dividing the subject and the photographer.

A weekend at Kabini

Hi! Lovely pictures. Seeing a Panther is not easy but its a sight which would stop anybodys breath. I was lucky to see one and get a small videoclip of it at Bandipur in the last week of Nov 2009. Would try to post the clip soon.

Vinay - Terrific snaps.. Expecting similar ones when we go for the Team BHP meet in Nagerhole.. Looks like there is something in you attracting the big cats.. Last time it was Tiger in Nagerhole and now the leopards... Envy you..

Truly speaking, I wanted to get those eyes in pics but the problem was it was late evening around 5:30 when we spotted the Leopard. It was deep inside forest area and light was low and by the time Leopard started giving us pose, it was dark. So any close up shots were either dark or shaken.

Fazal Sir, Thanks for your appreciation. Well, I am inspired more towards wildlife photography after seeing your pics. They are truly inspirational.

Tuskers, well very few them were around. I will be posting them soon.

Thanks a lot Bobby, and regarding CAT, I hope they are not considering me as their prey.
