Hi,
I'm planning for a day outing to Kabini from Bangalore this weekend.Can someone provide me below information.

- Is there is any Safari tours conducted by the Karnataka Forest Department in Kabini.What are the timings ,Safari Charges and whether it is Jeep or Boat Safari.
-or Should I contact any resort and fix a Safari privately ?
-Apart from Safari what else can be done in Kabini.

Yes, there are safaris conducted by forest department at Nagarhole national park. I had taken it a long time back (~15 years or so) hence I dont remember the timings and other details, which anyways will be of no use to you now.

There are no private safaris in Kabni, other option is to stay at Jungle lodges and avail boat and jeep safari. Other resorts in the area also use safari conducted by Jungle lodges since private vehicles are not allowed inside the forest.

There are two zones (routes) which safari jeeps follow - A &B, basically one is right side of the highway and another left side.

You can visit Wayanad which is located next to Kabni across border in KL.
