Good photos to end. The wild cat almost looks like a cougar! Didn't know we had such cats in India.

Thanks @MX6, Bobby & Nandan

@Bobby - Well, I like to take snaps of birds but in Kanha, you will see a very different behavior of animals. I felt animals are more friendly to human being there. They are not as shy as we see in south. And I enjoyed taking different snaps of Langoor more than birds. They really show different poses for taking pictures.

@Nandan - Well, I am not the best and still an amateur learning the tips & tricks. Learnt so much on wildlife photography during Kanha trip, Thanks to Kalyan Varma. And I am always ready to share whatever I know. Just let me know when you want to catch up.

@ Ampere - Thanks a lot. I love to take birds pics. Now, planning to go for training of Naturalist (if wife permits ) and would love to understand the Indian Jungles in detail & different life living in that.

Do you mean the naturalist training conducted by JLR? I know some folks who have taken that. They said it was for starters. You already seem to be a pro!

@ampere - Yes, I wanted to attend the naturalist training conducted by JLR. Still there are lot more to learn and understand our nature and how best I can use my time to save it.

I think its 101 course that sensitizes folks to be a naturalist (in spirit and in vision). Teaches things like how to watch, sport things, what to do/what not to do etc. Overall heard a very positive response about the course.

Re: Life in Jungles - A Weekend at Kabini

Guys,
I had been to Cicada (now known as Cerai) which was great but the office paid for it. Now 6 families are planning to go for an outing. Someone in the group thinks that Bison is the best. I prefer JLR. Can someone give an honest opinion?

Irrespective of which resort you stay in, for safari you will have to go through JLR now. The naturalist will be from the resort you are staying in. I have never stayed in The Serai. So cannot comment on how good their accomodation & naturalists are.

The Bison resort is good. Their naturalist (Shaaz) is one of the best in Kabini. I have stayed there a couple of times. His tracking skills are amazing. Do not expect The Serai kind of luxury in The Bison. The cost is also less in The Bison.

I either suggest The Bison or JLR. They are VFM.

Plan your Kabini visit in the next week or two. Sightings have gone down as its been raining quite often now.
