I think going to a shop with good equipment will sort this problem for you.

Check in your area who has road force balancing machine.

18'' will definitely ride a bit stiffer than 17'' owing to the reduced side wall height but the steering should not wobble if everything is ok.

As and when I got the FUEL alloys and tyres, i rushed to madhus in mysore to get it installed. RFT was done at that time and didn't try it out after changing to BLACK RHINO

The VLF-10 Rims costed me 37,000 and the yokohoma tires 35,500 after a bit of negotiating on both. These are 16inch rims. (Upgraded from 15inch)

Hello everyone,

I’m planning to upgrade the 14-inch steel rims on my 2022 Honda Amaze to 15-inch alloy wheels and would appreciate some suggestions. Could you recommend reputable brands for alloy wheels? Additionally, are there any reliable online platforms where I can purchase them? My city has limited options, and the only brands I recognized locally were Neo and Uno Minda.

Unfortunately, my past experience with Neo alloys wasn’t great, so I’m hesitant to go that route again. Would it be better to stick with OEM alloys for better durability and longevity? If I decide on OEM alloys, is it advisable to purchase them from local tire and alloy wheel stores, or is there a risk of ending up with counterfeit products/ damaged/ repaired ones ?

Upgraded from 175/65 R14 to 185/60 R15 on Tiago EV xz+ LR. Opted for Yokohama Bluearth GT-AE51. The stock cears were nothing less than rocks. Car is 12000 kms old.
Its hard to get alloys in 108 pcd.

After 4 years on the stock R15 alloys scraping every other speed bump & pot holes of namma Bengaluru, I finally decided to upgrade the stock alloys and tyres. Tyre was already decided as I wanted to go for Continental UC 6. In my opinion they are one of the best tyres I have every experienced. Its uncanny how negligible the tyre noise is with UC6. My previous experience with Yokohamas and stock tyres, UC6 has to be hands down my favourite. However another thing I noticed is that how limited the supply of imported alloy wheels are. Due to import regulation changes, its become extremely difficult to get hold of good quality alloy wheels at decent prices. The place that sold me the alloys has even offered me a buyback when I decide to part ways with the car. That just shows you how limited R16 alloys are in the market.

I looked at the following options before I decided with the wheels:

First on the list I went to Hottracks in Victoria road, Bengaluru. This place is candy shop if you have money. I loved the options but some of the prices of alloys were way out of my budget.

• Enquired for Sparco 16 inch wheels in bronze. I really liked these and the team at hottracks said that they will need 4-6 weeks to get them imported.
  
• The other option that was readily available was the Rays 16 inch wheels. All my friends (JDM fans) insisted on me getting them. These wheels were on clearance as well, so the price on offer was also quite enticing. Some how I was not convinced with the wheels and had to give it a pass.
  

Next we visited Car trendz on Mission road, Bengaluru. Again 16 inch alloys were in short supply, these were the options I saw:

• I really liked the Lenso jager dyna 2 but unfortunately these were only available in 17 inch. Although my rapid can support R17s, it would have compromised the ride in my opinion. So I had to let go of this option with a heavy heart.
• Next up was a company that I had never heard of Stance alloys. These were forged alloy wheels (which are supposed to be stronger). They were very similar to the sparco wheels I had seen earlier. I eventually went for these tyres as this was the exact style I was looking for and for half the price of sparco. Eventually settled on the bronze colour as the black ones were way too muted for my taste.

Yes, replicas as OEM are very hard to find and cost an arm and a leg and these rims are being used on a friends car in Australia since a few years with absolutely zero issues.
