I'm a noob at cars...but what's the big deal in measuring PCDs ? One can just use a pair of calipers and check it out.

No.

Sorry, the reply cannot save you money. Unless the alloys you used in your Palios were 100PCD to start with. The Palio PCD is 98.

Not Chance, if the tire size is either 165/80-13 or 185/70-13.

The Palio's PCD is 98mm and the WagonR's PCD is 100. Small difference, don't go for it since it isn't recommended. Invest in 100 PCD alloys and exchange the older palio alloys when you buy new ones.
That ways you get new alloys and the palio's alloys doesn't stay at home eating up space.

Sumo's has a PCD of 160(mm), the list should be like Bolero, Scorp', Safari.

Verna wheels are no problem but what size tyres is the Verna running? They might be a misfit for your car.

Does anybody have a clue what is the PCD (Offset and width also if possible) of the Ambassador rim is? It is different than the MGs and other British cars of the period. Could not find anything on the net.

Upsizing with Fusion wheels - Possible?

Am keen on upsizing my wheels from 14" to 15",but not with alloys. Some info I gathered on the specs of Ford Fiesta and Fusion wheels.(Hope I'm right)

Ford Fiesta:
175/65 R14
108 PCD
38 ET
5.5W
4 Holes
Ground clearance - 168mm

Ford Fusion:
195/65 R15
108 PCD
38 ET
6.5W
4 Holes
Ground clearance - 198mm

I am currently running on 185/60 R14 tyres on stock steel rims.My questions to the gurus.
1.Will the Fusion's steel rims be a direct fit on the Fiesta? If yes, what tyre size is best suited? 195/55 R15 or 195/60 R15?
2.Will there be a significant increase in ground clearance, with the increase in rim size from 14" to 15"?
