+1 to what mobike008 had to say. Matt, not either of us have any commercial interests with Ashoka or Rithesh but I have found him to be reasonable if you sit and talk to him regarding the pricing. His collection is vast as you may have noticed and if you are willing to wait for one out of his stock, look into his catalogs and he may be able to procure your choice for you.

Yes Suren, i forgot to mention regarding his reasonable pricing.

When i was buying my Michelin XM1+ I must have checked with 4-5 dealers in Hyderabad and all of them were quoting Rs.4600 and above/Tyre ( for 195 section) whereas, Ritesh was honest to confess that their is a discount on this particular section and he offered me the same for Rs.4150/Tyre.

suren181 and mobike, Thanks a lot guys .

Looking at some of the comments in this thread, I was under the impression that stuff at Ashoka is overpriced. After reading your comments I am almost set on Ashoka wheels.
I am planning to get Michelin Primacy LC or Conti CPC2 (both 195/60R15).

Your Welcome. Ritesh needs a bit of smooth coaxing and he will relent when it comes to price negotiation. So take some time out and sit in front of him, smile, negotiate and i am sure he will come to your price. Goodluck !

Yeah, I will have to wear my best smile when go there .

I just called them up and enquired about the prices. This is what I got

Michelin Primacy LC 195/60/R15 : Rs. 4775
Conti CPC2 195/60/R15 : Rs. 4600

Are they okay? As mobike mentioned, price may come down a bit when I go there and check it.

That looks to be good pricing considering they are 15 inchers. However, Conti looks expensive knowing that they are new to the market.

Just to be doubly sure, ring up all other dealers of Michelin and Conti in the city and cross check the price before making a personal visit to Ashoka.

Justdial should be able to help you with other dealer numbers.

Thanks a lot guys...
One more query, what do I do with my current Goodyear GT3s? They are slightly under 4 years old and 32K Kms covered.

He may offer you Rs.200-300 per tyre at the most. Try to negotiate for Rs.500/Tyre

Hi Ashvin,

I bought my tires from Ashoka last month. Apart from the tires, nothing else is good .

I would recommend folks to look for options other than Ashoka Wheels. He has good collection of tires and alloys but shopping experience is not good. Good to see some competition coming up.

I still has my old tires with me. Even though Ashoka wheels guy told me that he will try to help me in selling it to the puncture guy there, he did not do anything after the new tires where fixed.

Thx
